SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

Re: FMOD Discussion [ATS]
That doesn't seem to work. I edited each soundref to source from the Cascadia bank. I then created a mod that uses the same file structure as the Western Star 49X does in the game files. When I load this mod, it has no sounds for the blinkers and blinker stick. Below is a screenshot that shows my soundrefs and my file structure.

@supersobes
the link in the soundrefs are wrong, there is no #interior/cascadia_blinker1/2 or #interior/cascadia_blinkerstick_1/2
these are the link in the soundref files for the Cascadia and this is what you have to write down in the WS49X files
source="/sound/truck/freightliner_cascadia.bank#interior/blinker_on"
source="/sound/truck/freightliner_cascadia.bank#interior/blinker_off"
source="/sound/truck/freightliner_cascadia.bank#interior/stick_blinker_on"
source="/sound/truck/freightliner_cascadia.bank#interior/stick_blinker_off"

Yeah, you can't use any naming that isn't in the original if you use that method

Re: FMOD Discussion [ATS]
Is the soundref using the names of the events in FMOD? I thought it was using the file names for the sounds, so that's why I was using the names from the Freightliner Cascadia bank.

Re: FMOD Discussion [ATS]
Without seeing the fspro for the bank, there is no way of knowing what they used....there are several with sounds in them that aren't used. Part of the frustration with the complete lack of information from them on this whole topic on the wiki...still, after all these months.
If there are more changes in 1.40 that aren't documented I will just be moving to private only, kind of tired of their approach to this at this point....IMO, they were given plenty of leeway & support when 1.37 came out and the documentation was almost non-existent....we are a long way down the path with no improvement on their end in this regard

Re: FMOD Discussion [ATS]
the names of the files are irrelevant, the soundref files link to the bank (frightliner_cascadia) and the event (interior/blinker_on/off) wich you can find in the .guids files

Re: FMOD Discussion [ATS]
Not exactly; that only shows you what the control side is....in that particular bank there are 3 of both the on and off assets for the blinker on/off....so it is just trial and error to find the right one(s) to replace without seeing the fspro

Re: FMOD Discussion [ATS]
If I used the soundrefs highlighted in green above (I copy pasted them directly from here), the turn signals clicks work correctly, but now the blinker stick sound does not work. It works fine when you turn it off, but it plays no sound when you turn it on. What have I done wrong?
