While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

@Smarty If you have a short video of the procedure, I appreciate it. And if we do include it, will the engine ring in Convoy traffic even though no testing is necessary?

Yeah, you could add another instrument track for that (or copy and paste the one from your exhaust event, remembering to switch the parameters to play, rpm, etc). Just keep in mind that, ideally, you want to keep your remote even relatively simple. If you have 1:1 engine and exhaust clips (i.e. same number and same sample rpm), you might be best off mixing them into combined clips so that you just have one instrument for engine + exhaust in the remote event.

So with this remote system, would you hear another player's jake brake going by or just basic engine acceleration and stuff? This is very promising. Thanks, Smarty!

Still don’t understand the logic of having one remote event, especially since most people will probably cram as many tracks into it as possible making it rather large and memory intensive.

Surely supporting at least engine_remote and exhaust remote makes more sense. Allowing you to actually reduce the tracks in each event as needed without much loss of quality rather than putting everything inside the one event and bloating it (because that is what’ll happen).

Please let us know if you are going to do something so we don’t all waste time here.

Thank you SCS.
