Only one person can be in a sector regardless. It's not that SCS assigns one person, only one can work it and save to it.

This method would revolutionise building construction, we could have the plumber, carpenter and electrician help the bricklayer. Then in turn the bricklayer, plumber and carpenter help with the electrics etc. What could go wrong? :lol:

Theoretically, it's one person per sector, but in practice it's around 1 person per 4 sectors, so two mappers don't get into each other ways.

^Perhaps. Really depends on the dlc itself. That would determine the size of the team. But 4-5 sounds feasible. With the great plains coming up, that number could be 5-6. The landscaping is less demanding and that could free up a mapper or two for something else. OK, KS, NB, SD, ND and IA. I expect those to be a bit easier to map than other states before them. 1-2 freed up people can go to the base map. If 3-4 are working California, 1-2 could go to Nevada. I see it just as needy. California is more demanding and needs a lot more but I still wouldn't rush it. Northern Nevada needs to get its quality updated though concurrent with North California.

Regardless, California needs a good city mapper. At least 2. But if one is all we get, that's fine. That one person could knock out a city every 6 months....the largest cities in California that is. The smaller once could be half that time.

@Tristam-94

I suppose we can quibble all day guessing how SCS operates. My speculation vs your speculation and no definitive answer any way.

Given how long it takes to get anything done at SCS and knowing they are still trying to grown their teams for further expansion work leads me to think they are spreading themselves thin. I think of them not only working on ATS but ETS as well. . One company, many irons in the fire. Maybe they aren't over extending themselves, Maybe they are... Again- my speculation. You can rebuke my speculation all day, but it'll just be your best guess against mine, right?

Just my $0.02. Didn't realize criticism was such a touchy subject for some here. SCS moves slow. That's not a secret or a surprise, I didn't think.

My opinions... don't agree, cool. Take it or leave it I guess.

I think the next phase will be along the 5 down to around Fresno or possibly Bakersfield.

South of the Grapevine will be the biggest part between Los Angeles and all the other cities

I've seen new road textures, signage and assets on I-8 between Yuma and El Centro, looks really good! Though I wonder if that was already in the game before 1.43, since I use mods...

More than likely new. It doesn't make much sense to update that stuff now when the entire state will get updated eventually.

Both Yuma and El Centro got revamped some updates ago in 2020 so (even though i haven't been there since then) i guess that part of I-8 between both cities got an update to a certain extent as well.
