I know I know, so I wrote that it is a big requirement and probably unattainable, but nowhere is it written that scs could not work on the first and second phase together

Hmmm. I just did the overlay with the True Size map. I didn't realize it was that much larger. I've always assumed California would be a 2 year update. With the current team, no way it goes in less than that. Once Texas is released, that helps out Montana and California as ATS will have some good manpower to spread around. Good thing that states after Montana are much smaller than anything in the West.; So it all works out once Texas and Montana are out the door.

I'm imagining that people will split up into 4 teams at that point since we have (4) map leads now. California and (3) paid dlc's. If 9-10 people can do Wyoming in 10-12 months, I'm betting 7-8 can do these smaller states dlc's in 10-12 months. No need to release faster. The quality will be the same, the same process will be used. More task spread out will get us content faster by default. More people doesn't mean we get stuff faster. But more task completed around the same time will give us the impression that things are done faster.

It would be nice to hear or read something about the rebuild and on what is the team working right now, updating the towns from the first phase or working on updating other roads.Whatever the case I hope that they will maintain or improve the quality that we have seen from them.

I suspect that the California redo team is bigger than Germany redo team was.

the California Rework team is a dedicated team that focuses on it from what i understood, while the German Rework one was a side project when time allowed it

I think ATS could use one more team making it 4 working on new DLC and one rebuild team.

Thats a lot for a game with a small fan base. 5 might eat up profit. I'd wait a few more years before trying 5 teams. 3 is the minimum for paid and we are there now. The rebuild team came out of the blue. But they could eventually be the 4th or stay as a small rebuild team.

So far the rebuild has been looking great, I can’t wait until they get to Los Angeles because of what they can do.

maybe buy a better PC then a potato so you can use higher settings then low like on your pictures, also those are all distant objects that are at least hundreds of meter away from the player, why waste high res textures and polygons on something you will never see up close (the first pictures)
