For sure is a bug. It's good to report this in the bug section.

Some of you might know i'm not a big fan of digital stuff. But i have to admit,i like the Cascadia digital dash better than the one from the new DAF.
Still,if i had to buy a truck IRL,i would pick classic dash.Electronics sometimes aren't the most reliable stuff.
I would be scared of the digital dash breaking often.
Fortunately, there's no such thing as digital dash breaking ingame :D

What we are getting in 1.43 for trucks is just part of the vehicle team though. What about all the other disciplines within? By time its all said and done once 1.43 goes public, its about what did SCS as a whole bring. I wouldn't say its lazy because the beta is still w.i.p. To be more specific, for this particular beta (I don't recall any others), but the blog for 1.43ob is implying that more will get added. So its not over yet. Things just were not done in time the start of beta.

Now that i think about it,the Cascadia released 1 year ago(December 2nd,2020)in ATS.Can the update be considered a gift for 1 year release?

It's funny, people thought that we'd get a second Cascadia, and we did, it's just that everyone thought it would be one from the past, not the future.

It's not a second Cascadia. It's the same one,but with new parts.I was speaking about the digital dash earlier.Something worth mentionning,in my opinion,is that the speedometer and rev counter are directly in the middle.
So,it's right in my vision, which makes it easier to read your speed and i even can concentrate on the road more easily.
On the other hand,it doesn't display cruise control speed in digits format, which is a downside for me.

There is plenty of time in the future to still bring the old Cascadia. Just because they upgraded this one, does not mean the old one is impossible still. None of us have a clue what SCS has lined up, what their mindset is or what truck negotiations are like. But fans are itching for some older trucks. It should be a when older trucks come and not if older trucks will come. Could be next year, could be 5 years or even 10 years from now. But only new trucks will stagnate the game. Newer modern trucks is not what will keep everyone happy but diversity can. There needs to be something for everyone. We all grew up in different eras of trucking and it would be nice for ATS to represent that.

i just played the 1.43 update for the cascadia parts and i personally felt it was more like a tuning pack than a 2022 model. it does look nice dont get me wrong.

Nothing I said in my post was saying anything about the chances of the old Cascadia appearing in the future. I literally just found the fact we got a Cascadia update funny when considering all the talk of the Old 2016 Cascadia over the years.
