It would be a good gift of the fifth anniversary of ATS to be able to move the fifth wheel, but why do the traffic models have the fifth wheel and the cables in different position? Is it a mistake or is it some kind of hidden configuration that cries out to be released? :D :D :D

Adjusting the 5th wheel sounds like a F7 friendly feature to come someday. It makes more sense to preset it before attaching a trailer vs what we have now in presetting the tandems. I'm no trucker, but I don't think any real trucker would try to set the tandems before being loaded. Chances are, you'd have to adjust them again after loaded anyways so what's the point in adjusting before loaded.

I don't like the use of the stand for the cables on aero trucks instead of being attached on the back of the cabin. It is ok for the classic trucks but not for the modern aero. It keeps the fifth wheel back and the trailer farther away, creating a bigger gap between the cabin and the trailer. That destroys the concept of aerodynamic fuel efficient modern truck, especially for the Cascadia with the aero package.

Yeah, in real-life the air and electric lines between the truck and trailer are supposed to hang from a bungee spring attached to the chrome bar on the back of the cab.

the game cant do that, we cant even mount the cables to the chassis and attach them to the cab without them hanging in the air when the cab moves

Cabs don't move in ATS so that wouldn't be a problem right now.

doesnt change the fact that it still isnt doable, you cant attach a rubber rope to it so that is always stays by the cab and not starts to tangle up, we cant even add our own custom cables (well ATS can, 4 is the limit)

you don't need to hang them from anywhere, connect them directly from the cab to the trailer. The cables are coiled and elastic.

On most of the trucks on the roads in North America in real-ife, they don't use coiled air and electric lines. They use straight lines that hang from the cab. The coiled lines are still used, but they're not as common.

the game is using coiled, it helps with the game physics, and it could be a good compromise to have the fifth wheel closer to the cab.
