You are not alone. At least we should get more trucks which produced in between 2010 and today.

I love the new trucks, but I agree it would be nice to get some older trucks (and classics) as well. I'm still hoping SCS will surprise us someday with a classic truck DLC pack.
I think I've read before that it might be a licensing issue, but the game Snowrunner for example has branded Ford and White-Western Star trucks for example. I don't pretend to know how they were able to license them, but surely SCS should also be able to, no?

I'm content with the current models we have. There will always be newer models and people will want those. The line has to be drawn somewhere.

I don't think its a licensing issue. Either SCS is willing to pay, the manufacturers says yes/no and SCS has to be willing to do old trucks. If they don't want old trucks in their game despite the manufacturers giving permission, then that's on SCS. SCS has never once said they will or can't do old trucks. The question has always been left open for possibilities.

As a foreigner, I don't know which truck brands or year's model are denser region to region.same thing for cargoes.

Giving priority to things that exist more often in daily life in DLCs is the middle ground.

On the new Renault T Evolution in ETS2, the DRL turns off when the turn signal when is on. When the Freightliner Cascadia released for ATS, SCS said they couldn't make the DRL do that on the Cascadia because of a game limitation. Now that it's possible, I hope the DRLs on the Freightliner Cascadia are revisited so that the DRLs and turn signals interact in the same way they would on a real Freightliner.

I believe it will be a matter of time to be introduced on Cascadia.

So long as they don't do it before Blender Tools is updated...

I use the stock headlights on my Cascadia in ATS, but I prefer the one with the DRL. The only reason I don't use it in ATS is because the light behaviour with the turn signals is bothersome amd breaks the immersion for me. In real-life, most local/regional Cascadias have the stock headlights while most OTR-spec Cascadias use the DRL headlights.

I thought they were LEDs? (like the blinkers on the Renault)
