And the fact that the real photo is the short hood 116” BBC vs the standard hood 126” BBC we have in-game, so some parts differ.

Re: Freightliner Trucks Discussion Thread
I do think that the battery boxes and door steps are too shiny in ATS. They have more of a chrome finish than an aluminum finish. On the Western Star 49X, SCS gave us an option to have chrome or aluminum, but we're stuck with only the chrome option on the Freightliner Cascadia.

Maybe because the photo shows a 116" BBC, and the one in the game is the 126" BBC.
And if you google it, all 126" BBCs with no side skirts have that part painted, I might be wrong though
Edit:
Yeah, if you google 116s they always show that part black
Re: Freightliner Trucks Discussion Thread
Oh, guys, thank you. Now I see - on photo hood is a little shorter then in game one. Never know about this nuance. Now I understand why this part behind front wheels has other shape too.

I mean Merc really just chucked the interior of the Actros into the Cascadia when they refreshed it a few years ago so not shocking

Phew, good they didn't change the mirrors to the digital mirrors that actros have, new gauges are nice

You know, I wish that they putted the 116" hood in-game....and restricted us to using only the DD13 with that hoodTruckerKid wrote: ↑23 Feb 2021 10:55 And the fact that the real photo is the short hood 116” BBC vs the standard hood 126” BBC we have in-game, so some parts differ.

That would be so cool to be honest. That gives a chance to have a DD13 engine in the 500hp segment. I miss that one, I wish my fleet was full of 13 cylinder 500 hp engines, the Detroit and Volvo (I guess Cummins too) doesn’t have suitable powertrains ...
Also I’d love to see the 2022 upgrade to the Cascadia, especially for the dash and the A-Pillar deflectors.

Re: Freightliner Trucks Discussion Thread
@harishw8r We do have 500 HP engines in the 12-13L segment.
Volvo have a 13L 500 HP 1850 lb-ft engine
Paccar have the MX-13 at 510 HP 1850 lb-ft
Detroit Diesel sell a DD13 at 505 HP and 1850 lb-ft
Cummins have a X12 at 500 HP and 1700 lb-ft
That said, that power level is usually mostly sold for severe duty usage(mostly vocational). You are more likely to see engines at around 450 HP for linehaul use
