I would actually heavy haul with the 4900 and general freight with the 5700 and 4900.

We need the Eatons as that is still available. Besides can't use the H shifter with the 12 speed.

I don't care for the 4900 so I won't be driving it at all. That's why I'd still with my W900. Now once overfloater finishes his W900 mod, I will switch to that because of the higher quality than SCS. I'll just park my original W900 for when the mod doesn't work for whatever reasons. I'd like to keep my W900 in operation for sentimental reasons. 1) it is my original first and only purchased truck on my main profile and 2) I'd like to rack up as many miles as I can on her. 1,000,000 was the goal a few years ago but that will prove to be impossible fore me. I don't play that much anymore. I am knocking on 250k though. When the 5700 and the new Cascadia comes, that will put a dent in miles. But since I love heavy haul so much and I'd much rather it, the W900 will still get a lot of love from me.

The new Cascadia can be a nice heavy hauler.I mean,it has the engine for it.The gearbox?I don't know.
Does the new Cascadia have some kind of HD gearbox?

@Robinicus is right about that. You can spec a Cascadia as a heavy hauler but not many do. That is were the 122SD comes in.

@Virgo91 any truck can be spec'd for whatever you need it for providing the manufacture agrees to it.

I can only image what trying to do heavy haul with frame rails that were not built for it would look like. I've seen how the frame rails bend and flex when a tow truck is picking up a loaded tractor trailer that rolled on its side.

There's 3 single torque(or whatever it's called) 410 hp DD13.

BTW, Eaton labels its automateds as Endurant (designed as an automated) and Ultrashift (repurposed manuals), while genuine manuals go under Roadranger name and show up as RTLO-something in the game.

One of the issues with new trucks in ATS is that they are not made for all situations and people want to use them in that way. For the most part, all ATS trucks are OTR trucks. With the exception of Paccar's W900 and 389 of course. 85% or more of the time when you see a heavy haul on youtube, its typically a Paccar truck. There are some WS's sprinkled in but every time I look and pretty much all the reference pics I find and have posted in the links in my signature, Paccar dominants heavy haul.

With that said, I really hope to see a 122SD within the next 2-3 years. I will jump the gun and say we get the 5700 and the new Cascadia this year. If I guess wrong, oh well, its just a guess. Next year (2021)...new VNL and LT and if we lucky the 4900. The LT is half done so it should only take half the work. It could already be in the works. So for 2022, go for the 122SD/T880 and maybe the W990. After that, its whatever. All the most common up to date trucks would be on the road. If SCS wanted to shoot for a Classic, 2023 would be nice.

will the ingame new Cascadia have 12 speed automateds(Detroit gearboxes for example)?

There are high chances we get them in game, we can be somewhat sure about that since we already have m-drive and i-shift in the game, and not just eaton gearboxes.

Btw, which of these engines is better?
DD13 505 hp / DD15 505 hp / DD16 500 hp

DD13 : 505 hp @ 1625 rpm/1850 lb-ft @ 975 RPM
DD15 : 505 hp @ 1800 rpm/1650 lb-ft @ 1100 RPM
DD16 : 500 hp @ 1800 rpm/1850 lb-ft @ 1100 RPM

Personally,i would pick the DD13.Power at low revs,same torque as the DD16.And i think it will be the cheapest option of the 3 engines.
But anyway,you're the one to decide.Preferences are different for each person.
