Earlier this year, the California Air Resource Board (CARB) passed legislation that bans the sale of gasoline and diesel powered passenger vehicles and light duty trucks in the state of California effective January 1, 2035 and diesel trucks in the medium duty and heavy duty classes in the state of California effective January 1, 2045. Perhaps this is what you read?

Yeah that sounds familiar. I think you are right. That is what I think I saw. I know people hate California ways but they are the determining factor to a lot of things when it comes to the environment. The eCascadia actually isn't bad ATTTT ALL. Of all the Electric trucks I have seen, that is the only one that I'd drive. I'd still mod Kriech's DD15 to it, lol. The eCascadia at least still looks normal. I don't see why people are coming up with these year 2525 looking trucks, lol. I understand aero dynamic but they are going too future with lots of these things.

I agree; the Freightliner eCascadia is the most promising looking electric semi truck in the North American truck market. It actually looks like a normal truck, and it retains the designs of today's trucks, so we already know that it works well in real-world applications. Once the price comes down and the distance range goes up, I can see the eCascadia becoming very popular among the fleet carriers. As much as I dislike electric trucks, I wouldn't mind having the eCascadia to drive in ATS.

tbh if the car/truck makers can keep making Electric vehicles That look modern (like F150 or charger) and not alot of futuristic on it (like tesla trucks and some cars) I can live with it.

If California does ban gas and diesel vehicles, I am moving out of Cali for good.

I can see it now, scs releases the eCascadia and people are going to complain that it doesn't have a straight piped v8 sound.
In a world full of swift drivers, I'm an O/O.

Yep, this right here is the key. There is no point in doing what they do on some of these design. The general public will be reluctant to purchase such odd vehicles. Electric vehicles are super expensive. The entire infrastructure has to change to provide tons of charging stations like everywhere. Both commercial and on the consumer level.

They won't ban them. They just said you can't purchase gas after 2035.

@dk00? I won't complain but I do want the inline 6 sound. I can accept the eCascadia but that doesn't mean I would use it.
