Mannn, if we got all three of those, Freightliner will pretty much prove they are the Kings. That would be bullying your way thru ATS. Ex...Excuse me Sir, watch out......Daimler coming thru with 3 trucks....what, you got one in..yeah I got three, step aside, lol.

@howey I kinda have that feeling as well, If they manage to get both trucks it would be truly an epic win for ATS. The older one is massively present in American roads, I think SCS won't give up on it easily.

I'm somewhat skeptical on the old one just based on how long the new Cascadia has been around. It feels to me like Freightliner would rather not advertise an older truck, personally.

Edit: Actually no. I've convinced myself the otherway because the old VNL came to ATS long after the new VNL was released to the world. So I don't know. Disregard!

Lol. I hope they don’t back down. Finish what you started. The truck may not be featured on the website but it’s still a relevant truck model. Considering they tried for years, it should be just like the VNL and granted imo.

Like Flight said considering that they built a model from the beginning that still looks decent quality to me I would be trying to push the manufacturer in releasing in as well. Providing they have been updating it like they did with the VNL it still would be a decent quality model truck for many of us.

Besides what has Freightliner got to lose by releasing the old Cascadia as well as the new one. Yeah it may be discontinued now but in having more models in game could benefit them in some way as well as us.

The truck is out of production but still valid, they shouldn’t care. I have a serious haunch that Daimler will allow the old one and in fact wants both Cascadia’s to release at the same time. They want to the duo package. At least that is what I am convincing myself of, lol. I am dreaming high.

I agree that the 2016 model looked great. At least at a distance. But it wasn’t updated like the VNL. It could be that in order to release it, SCS made a brand new CAD model with current graphics. That would explain why it’s taking so long.

@flight50 knowing Freightliner I am sure we will get both. :D Old Cascadia is my truck of choice unless we get a Coronado or 122SD.

I sure hope you are right Larry. I seriousllllly do. That would really make holding out this long well worth it. If SCS pulled off the two for one, ATS will explode. Too much truck for one release, lol. Throw in that 122SD at some point and its on. That would be a huge boost for ATS to get the most common 2 trucks on the road. That reflects real life 100%. Sure the LT, the 579 and the T680 are common but those two Freightliners out number the next closet by 3:1 or more.

The Coronado could still make it as it is still being produced as gliders only.

If we got the 132SD I'd drive that over the 5700XE or the Cascadia. Chances of getting the 132SD is slim none so the 5700 it is for me. Then the Cascadia and my W900. If we ever got a 122SD 8x4, I'd make the transition from my W900. I'd just park it for a once a month trip perhaps. Its my first truck in ATS so I could never sale it. I think our best chances of 8x4's is first the 122SD, then the T880. After that it trickles down fast. I'd be fine with just these two models in all of ATS. One just won't do it. Ideally a hh from each manufacturer would be great but I don't see that happening.

I was heavily disappointed in SCS when the HH pack came and ATS didn't get anything. Then came Special Transport and we still didn't get anything. Sure the dolly negates a 8x4 at that time but with SCS finally breaking up the hh trailers for what they really are in 1.32, if you remove the dolly, that single pivot lowboy is a heavy hauler by itself. That is the most common trailer I see for heavy haul in my city. Its always hauled by a 8x4 Paccar braned truck. Once lowboys become available for ownership, could that finally mark the time we finally see a 8x4? It that why lowboys are not in the game as ownership yet? It would justify the delay but I don't have a lot of faith in seeing a 8x4 in ATS anymore.
