I don't need to remember about this, but I believe that nobody here wants the Cascadia release to be similar to the Volvo VNL.

I love one small detail. I asked that for Anthem but it didn't come, this time they did it perfectly. On A.I. traffic Cascadia's using 2 different grill. Day cabs using plastic while sleeper cabs chrome. I just loved that. Ty SCS (^^)

@Oscar That's weird, it's only the DD15 Gen 5 and DD16 on their site, brochure and spec sheet. It also only seems to be offered only with vocational DT12 transmissions.

Maybe you were given old information? I would think at least the spec sheet would be correct.

@FierbetoN it's possible that SCS had received ALL the technical information while the manufacturer still isn't providing all of the planned options to customers (so, the public brochure still doesn't advertise those options as available).

I'm not sure about USA truck manufacturers practices, but in the cars industry that's very common to happen. One of the reasons is that at the beginning the supply and manufacturing chain don't use to be completely polished and working at 100% efficiency (and also that a lot of trucks need to be stocked to the launch); so the availability of models use to be more reduced on launch until a few months later.

Totally possible, just weird how they'd put in a Cummins for the smaller engines instead of their own :P
