Western Star Trucks Discussion Thread
Re: Western Star Trucks Discussion Thread
Still don't think so. Probably they have all variants including vocational variants as the license but it's up to them to implement it or not. On future, if SCS wants to add 4th cab with WS customization DLC it won't surprise me. Or if they wanted to add vocational trucks in one day they can make dump truck version.
They could have release only 72 inch sleeper alongside with day cab but it won't make players happy. For satisfying players at least 3 cabs are necessary. People are not happy about W900 and 579 sleeper cabs. Even they've asked ultraloft version for 579 or 86 inch studio sleeper or flat top version with an update.
As the player if there isn't much trucks waiting on the line and vehicle team won't be small that much, I would like to have all cab variants for all trucks. And getting pissed about the word if you want it, do it by yourself. At the end if you cannot suggest things in here, where else you can do?

Well what you said might be a possibility. But I’m not sure if SCS would do that (find time to model many cab variants again at a much later point).
Personally I feel SCS should follow the Cascadia model - 4 cabin options - the daycab, two mid-roofs and the largest raised roof variant. Would pretty much able to cover the wishes of most players. For 49x, just bring in the 72 inch mid roof sleeper. For 579, bring in the ultraloft, all these either in a point update or during the tuning pack release, as free content. That’s the best (and probably the easiest) way to accommodate everyone’s wishes.

Re: Western Star Trucks Discussion Thread
SCS has never made every cab option available in game that is available IRL for North American trucks (can't speak for Euro - they all look like boxes to me) - they have generally picked what are the most commonly speced ones that you would see on the road most often.
AFAIK - there is nothing in their licensing that would stop them from adding cabs, similar to the add of tri-drives in 1.40, they chose what to add. IMO, it would be a waste of time adding every possible cab config....I would much rather see that time spent on new and/or updates for trucks.

Well custom packs are the best way to implement those. Unlike ETS2 there isn't much thing to add such as tables on dashboard, the weird things on windshield since they are not legal in US. Except the first 5 trucks, the rest has almost every single stock parts so they cannot add stock parts such as plastic grill, aero x parts etc.
So, different bull bars, chicken light slots some sun visor and that's it. They are not enough so one more different sleeper or different roof options maybe shorter hood options would be great editions for that DLC.
@Robinicus I think only Anthem got all possible stock customization including sleepers. Only thing they've missed about Anthem is, split windshield. And chrome hood mirrors are not an option for Anthem so that's the inaccurate implement.

So are the chrome main mirrors, aren’t they?
Re: Western Star Trucks Discussion Thread
On configurator there is only painted or black mirrors exist. I thought side mirrors has chrome option but it seems not.
But I don't know. I saw 8x6 Anthems and Cascadias that you can order but not existing on brochure or configurator so it might be like one of those things.

I tried googling too, can't find any real-life truck with Chrome mirrors.
Back to topic, does the 5700XE has any other offering than the chrome mirrors (and also the sun visor)?

Re: Western Star Trucks Discussion Thread
I might know wrong but plastic or painted versions are not existing for 5700. As the exterior there aren't much things that 5700 offers. Paint job is a different story tho. But it has many variants as the sleeper and roof option.
