ATS 1.39 Speculation Thread
Re: ATS 1.39 Speculation Thread
I want a Barstow rebuild because I really do not like the I-15/ I-40 interchange and the town needs to be smaller than it is in the game.

I agree very much, I want the realistic look with the actually interchange. Barstow feels so large in the game but I face it really isn’t and it doesn’t look very much like the real one, and the 15 is different I’m the game then real life there. I’d say Barstow is one rebuild that when it happens will really help.

Re: ATS 1.39 Speculation Thread
Say for example it was the middle of January and you came down I-15 from Montana in the middle of a blizzard, and you got pulled into a weigh station between Las Vegas and Los Angles, are you saying that Caltrans could put you out of service or fine you because your truck is covered with salt-brine?
Re: ATS 1.39 Speculation Thread
Speaking of Barstow, for me, the only thing in need is that I-40 @ I-15 interchange to be swapped out. I don't know enough about Barstow to say much else. That's what kills the scene for me. I-80 @ US-101 and the two big interchanges in Phoenix are the only (4) that bother me in the game currently.
My post are only thoughts and ideas. Don't assume it makes ATS.

Supersobes, as far as I know they won't put out you out of service for a dirty truck and trailer, but yes they can and would fine you. Same as no uncertified truck.... for clean air, which means DEF is used... is allowed in California. You can take an older non certified non DEF truck from out of state in only once on a 3 day permit. After that it will not be allowed back in again. California is not like the other 49 States for many things.
I still would like to see the night view out of the truck cleaned up you can actually "See" out thru the right windshield and door windows when you are not in any place with lights... totally out in the boonies with no lights around you. Next time you drive a rig when it's totally dark at night in ATS, take a look in the driver's mirror. That is how you should be able to see out of the cab at night. If it can be done with the mirrors, then why not with the windows? If we drove real trucks with the ability to see as it is in ATS at night, we would be fired from all the accidents it would cause making right and left turns at night. The way is it now is a lame excuse for graphics. I can't see a thing looking out the right windshield or the door windows because they're so back. The only view is out the driver's side windshield and it's a cone view. The other the real drivers on here know what I mean.

Just speculating, I could see a traffic intensity control:
* 0 --- Not traffic at all.
* 1 --- Light traffic with only vehicles.
* 2 --- Light traffic with vehicles, railroad crossings and moving bridges. DEFAULT MODE.
* 3 --- Dense traffic mode.

The 15 40 interchange is definitely a main issue, as far as rebuilding the town, it really does need to be rebuilt. It doesn’t look realistic, I’ve been there more times then I can count.

Re: ATS 1.39 Speculation Thread
We already have dense traffic. How about heavy traffic instead.

@Mohegan13
The traffic is totally unbalanced and in most cases what really exists is a very typical quarantine desert.
Some rules of the traffic are not ok IMO in both games here and there are many annoying things that could be fixed if SCS wish.
The games worked "better" only when g_traffic = 1 because in some situations any value other than that will make the player stuck and use g_traffic 0 at some point
and it's the most irritating and meaningless thing in the game... traffic and desert are similar for the both games... and 'to be good' must have to improve a lot.
I'm sharing my experience with in-game traffic

Maybe the system requirements would change
Of course, if you want, there is a new possible option:
* 4 --- Heavy traffic mode. Note: If your game suffers stuttering call @Mohegan13 , as this is his idea
