Well there is a good chance it could release the day after the official release going off the truck seen in the blog, it looks pretty much completed in my eyes.

they only said that they will _announce_ its release date ("herald the arrival") shortly after WS reveal.
Honestly, I don't recall it saying that. It looks like that line was edited since I saw it......which was when that blog first posted. They can go back and change things at any point. The timeline doesn't go back far enough to check though. Oh well. But that is why so many people are excited for the 29th because of the verbiage. If it has always said just announcement after WS's presentation, then apologizes for the misquote. But removing the thought of an immediate arrival with the unknown arrival in ATS could be why it gets edited if indeed that happened. There have been dozens of people that said the same as I have. So you going to call them out too?

They can just herald its arrival the 29th after the WS irl presentation’s, to announce the arrival in game for the 30th or the 1st October.

Or others situations...

Everyone interprets text differently. I for one was leaning towards "very shortly" after the 29th.

The statements in the blog are quoted as follows:
With great honor and pleasure, we can now announce that very shortly after The NEXT Western Star® truck releases, we will herald its arrival to American Truck Simulator too.
and
it is a first for SCS Software to work this closely with a leading American truck manufacturer on synchronizing the release of a brand-new truck.

If it releases the same day as in real life then it's going to be a long shot but if it releases the 30th then it would be likely but synchronizing is the key word
I bet things are gonna be teased :ugeek:

Imo shortly after = couple days/a week. I would not expect it to be available on the same 29th.

Iirc, they said the same with the Lonestar. That the Lonestar will be available shortly after the stream. Most took that as 1-2 days. But I believe the Lonestar released shortly after the stream or during the stream, I can't remember exactly.

Don't see why they'd delay it after the announcement, assuming it's ready to go. Or would WS be afraid that people will be too busy playing ATS and forget to go out and buy that new truck they were intending to?
