Re: Mileage bragging Thread
Thanks, I really find myself enjoying the 389 more than any other truck in this game
Re: Mileage bragging Thread
No I get it, I'm closing in on 10k on the 389 already and it's not a bad truck. I hated driving it on quick jobs when I first started because I always had to adjust the seat. Now that I own my own, the seat stays exactly where I want it, which has helped. But I think it's more of personal preference. Like with paint jobs or color schemes, I get bored of looking at the same truck or colors all the time, so I get a new coat of paint often, and I like to switch up the trucks.Andre Santos wrote: ↑14 Mar 2021 23:55About my passion for my 389, I believe that when you find the right truck you will understand me...
I thought 100k would be the right amount of miles to get completely used to a truck enough to form a fair opinion about it. The K100E mod is definitely my favorite so far because I like the old school cab overs, and the maneuverability/visibility is fantastic, which comes in handy for my b-triple parking obsession. Then there some trucks I definitely hate, like the Lonestar. I love the W900 too, cruising down the highway, but jeez it's turn radius is awful, which makes parking a pain sometimes. The newer Pete, KW, and Volvo models have great maneuverability too, but they don't have that sexy old school look that I like in a truck. The engine sound in the newer trucks remind me of the flying cars in the Jetsons too lol. I prefer the throatier sound of the older trucks.
The Lonestar did have the best dashboard/instrument display however, so it at least had that going for it. The other factor is how I like being able to see the driver side mirror without having to turn my head, and in order to do that in some trucks, the seat has to be way back and to the left. Sometimes annoyingly too far, which prevents you from seeing stop lights when you've pulled up to an intersection.
I'm still on 1.36 because my crappy PC can't handle 1.38, so I haven't seen some of the newer trucks yet. Soon I'll have a new PC so I'll put them through their 100k mile test drive eventually too. But then I'll have to go back and test all the other trucks again to see what they're like in 1080p at 60 FPS, instead of 720p and 17 FPS lol. I don't want screen quality to bias my opinion.

Nearly 300k in my Mack. Really enjoy this truck. I play mostly after work most days and a lot every second weekend. Bought the truck about a month after official SCS release.
