Wyoming Discussion Thread
Re: Wyoming Discussion Thread
I would say it's almost a certainty that it'll be there in some form. Aside from being by far the best-known aspect of Wyoming, several prominent roads pass through it -- particularly US 191, US 89, US 20, and US 14.
I'm pretty confident that we'll at least see US 191 and US 20/14 heading east from it, but there will probably be the usual trailer fines that the other big national parks have. It's hard to say how much of it we'll get otherwise, though -- even if we're pretending it's a valid trucking route, two directions would lead to Montana.

Re: Wyoming Discussion Thread
I agree. I've spoken about Yellowstone a lot in this thread. I'm expecting US-14/US-20 and US-191 at the least to run thru it. Wyoming without YS wouldn't be a good thing for this dlc by any means. When I hear the word Wyoming, there are a few things that comes to mind.....Cheyenne, Yellowstone and a terrifying I-80. Surely we'll get fined if we travel thru YS. But if we get deliveries to YS, that is a totally different story. If your destination takes you to YS or a pick up in YS, we can't get fined for that. Sign will say no commercial trucking thru the park. But it does not so no commercial trucks. There's a difference in that statement.
To remove the state's best kept secret, its crown jewel, would be one of the worse decisions in for ATS. YS should get a blog of its own if we get it. It might be a small blog but we should get one. Perhaps even a blog of Wyoming wonders all in one blog is possible. Yellowstone, Tetons, Devil's tower and maybe even the Bighorn National Forest.

My post are only thoughts and ideas. Don't assume it makes ATS.

When will Wyoming come out in July or August?

Re: Wyoming Discussion Thread
possibly. You just have to wait and see still.
Re: Wyoming Discussion Thread
I seriously doubt it goes to August but anything is possible. I am sure Wyoming started before Idaho was even released. At this point, I'd assume every state goes thru a preliminary run. In order for the asset team to stay ahead of the mappers, they have to already be working on stuff. Otherwise, what would the mappers have to layout the map with. The typical US states less than a 12 month mapping process. But notice I stated....mapping. Texas, California, Montana...are the exceptions. Those are larger states. California and Texas are both large and numerous roads and cities. Wyoming should perhaps be just a little less work than Colorado. Similar size states, similar spread out roads but the cities and the terrain will make the largest difference.
Wyoming has smaller cities, less lanes miles of road and the mountains are more concentrated to the West and a little in the North.

Re: Wyoming Discussion Thread
I wouldn’t rule out August though, given that Wyoming would be the only possible map DLC for this year. Hope we can expect some new content to fill the time gap.
Re: Wyoming Discussion Thread
If Yellowstone NP is confirmed i think we will have a tiny little part of Montana with route 20 and (surely scenery town) West Yellowstone.
If i remember correctly something similar happened with Arizona and New Mexico

Re: Wyoming Discussion Thread
August, if anything its could come early June. Think California stage 1 is better off as end of year item. 1.41 could be similar to 1.40, but throw extra road in Colorado DLC along with new trailer to haul with.
Will see what happens with 1.41
Far more interested in Montana than Texas after Wyoming even if Montana won't cone till later 2022.
Montana extends I-90 450 miles and start of I-94 along with nice lonely US-2 zigzag along till North Dakota. I-15 to extended promods can get taste of rolling plains and lots of small roads can pick and those to connect trans Canada Highway.

Re: Wyoming Discussion Thread
You are thinking of US-95 in Idaho coming with Oregon. We did not get anything in Montana for Idaho that would have seriously help it. US-93 to US-12 would have been a huge help. So I really don't think we will ever see another incident like we did with Idaho in Oregon. The Idaho dlc was the perfect chance to do so but that didn't happen. I don't expect US-20 in that small part of Montana at all. I won't get my hopes up this time for a piece of another state. Noe if it happens, SCS proved a lot of us wrong. 1.41ob will tell us if we have a shot at West Yellowstone getting us into Wyoming. As of now, I don't see it.

Re: Wyoming Discussion Thread
The Oregon - Idaho thing is not a lot of work in the limits of Idaho DLC as the road runs very close to the border, whereas for Idaho-Montana, they have to almost reach Missoula which is a significant amount of work to be done in Montana limits. They certainly wanted to stay true to the dlc title.
