Wyoming Discussion Thread
Re: Wyoming Discussion Thread
We all have our preferences. I really like the back roads of Wyoming so its a solid 1/2 for me with Colorado. I can't go lower than 2 in terms of quality and fun factor.
For the most part, the newest dlc typically tops the previous for me. I look for great landscaping and roadwork. Does the roads flow nicely in regards to elevation changes, banking and craftsmanship...intersections. junctions and interchanges. What new ICC's did it come with and last the town and city creations. Each dlc slight improvements are made. The question is....what did the devs learn that can apply to their current project.

Re: Wyoming Discussion Thread
Same here, I would say Wyoming would be #1, followed by Idaho and Colorado. IMO Utah alone was a set back in terms of overall quality but the other newer expansions consistently improved since the base map.
Re: Wyoming Discussion Thread
My favorite is still Colorado, followed by Wyoming and Washington State. Idaho is nice, but I just use it as a means to connect to Oregon/Washington so I can avoid Nevada
In a world full of swift drivers, I'm an O/O.

Re: Wyoming Discussion Thread
I would say pound for pound Wyoming is better than Washington, but Washington is a more complete package IMO. Pound for pound, I think Wyoming is a very very close second to Colorado. In some ways it's better, other ways worse. Both are excellent from a mile to mile standpoint. Combine the road network and challenge of WA/CO with the scenery and attention to detail of WY/ID and you'd get a perfect map.

Re: Wyoming Discussion Thread
Demand for Cody and US-14 began to rise from when the scs showed the map, it was sometime in late August, if the scs started working on Cody and US-14 right after the release of Wyoming, it is very likely that Cody and US-14 are ready and can be in update 1.43 this year, as a bonus I would consider adding a stretch of road US-287 between Laramie and Fort Collins

I'm late doing this but here we go. The Wyoming giveaway from me is now active. See my giveaway thread for the active invite to Discord.

Re: Wyoming Discussion Thread
I've driven across I-80 through Wyoming in a real truck many times. There is a lot of empty land in the real Wyoming too. Lots of boring miles of highway.GT182 wrote: ↑11 Sep 2021 23:05 The southern highways on my Wyoming are broken. BUT, at least the map is now installed. LOL
I can't understand why it took so long to make, from what I see by way of content, in Wyoming. And so few cities. There's a lot of empty land shown on the map. So what happened to the small towns and villages? Or were they not allowed in the sim?
I am having the same problem with broken roads around Evanston with my primary, (modded), profile.
The bigger they are, the harder they haul!
Re: Wyoming Discussion Thread
@Drayman, IRL I never got North of I-40 on my way out to California, so I missed a lot of scenery in Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, and Montana. But at least I've gotten my feet wet in both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. LOL
I'm not having problems with Wyoming any more. Now every time I head into Montana from Wyoming, ATS crashes. Seeing 1.42 is coming up I'm seeing mods not being compatible with 1.41 anymore due to them being updated for 1.42.... the red error circle has been showing a lot lately in the Activated mod side. I might just deactivate all mods in my 3 profiles and start adding them back once 1.42 is released.
