Re: Wyoming Discussion Thread
I honestly don't know what to think about this Weigh Station blog... I mean weigh stations are the one and only prefabs that I don't use at all. It has no interesting functionality. It is really unrealistic. And it has by far the most boring ingame mechanics. In 2016 is was nice to have weigh stations as we don't have it in ETS2. But really? Drive slowly to the green marker, press enter, you see a message about your weight, and you can continue to drive...? That's all... And if you deliberately pass a weigh station where you were suppose to stop you'll get a fine of $700,-... With the easy economics and more than $100,000,000 in my bank account I really cannot care about getting a fine for not stopping at a weigh station.
So, why did we get a blog about weigh stations? The functionality remains the same, which I think is a missed opportunity... I just see it as a gap filler between now and the release date of Wyoming. We know that we'll get a Cheyenne blog for sure. Maybe we'll get a Yellowstone blog and/or a second gameplay blog and/or paint jobs pack blog. We'll also get some blogs about release date announcement and likely a cruising Wyoming blog. So, what is this weigh stations blog doing here? What's the real purpose of that blog? I think it may be a sign that Wyoming is not yet around the corner.

Agreed. I think it becomes more and more obvious that Wyoming isn't around the corner. Everything they do now with the Idaho event, the Weight station blog and so on seem to be only filler to bridge the time until WY release. Maybe we're even talking about a September release date now. We can only speculate about the reasons but what are forums for if not for that matter. Yellowstone is one good guess I think maybe they planned to realease it at a later point or even with the Montana DLC first whenever that will be. I still get a bit grumpy when I see that huge unfilled area in Southeast Utah. They really should have made at least on road connection for that area.Vinnie Terranova wrote: ↑23 Jul 2021 07:54 I think it may be a sign that Wyoming is not yet around the corner.

Got me thinking VC In steamdb "Virtual Cowboys?" live stock trailers for both games?
There are naive questions, tedious questions, ill-phrased questions, questions put after inadequate self-criticism. But every question is a cry to understand the world. There is no such thing as a dumb question.

"Virtual Cowboys" would work in ATS, but for ETS2 it is a strange, weird name as we don't have cowboys in Europe... So I think VC means something else.

Re: Wyoming Discussion Thread
We have had something similar to cowboys in Europe
eg Great Hungarian Plains, Russia, Kazakstahn or Mongoliet but also the Vaquero in Spain

In my neck of the woods we have a lot of cowboy drivers.
On the highways generally. But in small towns also.

I do not agree with you on this. Weight stations work well. The only problem with it; sometimes it is a requirement to enter more than one station in the same state.
The things that bother me the most in the game; repair shops and companies. These areas need a lot more detail! Like X-Ray checking, weight checking, cargo and document processing...
More detailed repair shops. The door opens and we go inside. There should be lots of details like this.

But the weight stations and X-Ray control in these places are not active.
