Wyoming Discussion Thread
Re: Wyoming Discussion Thread
Lol. Routes like the above mentioned, I avoid like the plaque. I don't entertain jobs that makes more sense to do with the missing state. I can just wait but I'll note those 2 cities and make sure I someday make that trip. But that's the C-shaped route that I'll never do.
My post are only thoughts and ideas. Don't assume it makes ATS.

Re: Wyoming Discussion Thread
With WY, I meant Yellowstone National Park.
If you did watch my links in the posts above yours, you would have seen I had US-14 from Cody to Redbull, wait, Greybull, in.
I try to have Cody as a NOT Dead End, with 2 different routes to/from it.
See, Cody not a dead end, even w/o Yellowstone. With Cody, with Montana and Wyoming DLC's https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Thermop ... 39!1m0!3e0
Cody, with Wyoming DLC https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Thermop ... 891239!3e0
Current ingame route, well, shorter, not faster, would be https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Sherida ... 734632!3e0 1110miles.oldmanclippy wrote: ↑23 Sep 2021 17:09 I don't know, I think I'm just glad enough that Winnemucca is no longer Grand Central Station for ATS.
BUT Sheridan to CDA is pretty absurd right now though. IRL that route via I-90 is 638 miles for 9h7m. Using the in-game route IRL via I-25, WYO-220, US-287, I-80, I-84, I-82, US-395, and I-90 takes 19h12m and 1304 miles IRL. More than double https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Sherida ... 734632!3e0
The game might route you through US-95 though instead of going to Washington. Either way it's a pretty ridiculous detour.
https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Sherida ... 734632!3e0 1233miles and 5minutes longer than your example.
And when Montana DLC is released https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Sherida ... 734632!3e0 638miles.

Re: Wyoming Discussion Thread
It wouldn't look good, there should be a connection to the west. Although having WY-120 would be nice, there are still more important roads that should be added to the game.

but for those who do not like highways, this is a dream road) to wade through secondary roads))oldmanclippy wrote: ↑23 Sep 2021 17:09 BUT Sheridan to CDA is pretty absurd right now though. in ETS2, the situation is exactly the same)) if not worse))
with the release HoR, we will get for example Istanbul (Turkey)-Bryansk (Russia) 3 600km and 47h for small cars)) for a heavily loaded truck 65h)) https://www.google.com/maps/dir/40.9493 ... e0!1m0!3e0
vs if we had the first Ukraine- only 1600 km and 21.5h) or 27h for trucks) https://www.google.com/maps/dir/41.0020 ... m2!4m1!3e0
almost triple difference))

Re: Wyoming Discussion Thread
Europe will be the worst shaped map ever...
Re: Wyoming Discussion Thread
I agree with ads678 and that is the point I'm making. The gap everyone is complaining about will be there no matter what unless we get US-14 from YS to Sheridan. Cody is the bonus. Marked or not. The point its to eliminate the gap. Not just add Cody. We can get from Greybull to Cody and leave it as a dead end. Not much of an issue. That at the least should have happened day one. But since we didn't even get Cody, that makes US-20 in YS have an ugly gap without US-14.
US-14 is no different than US-34 that we got in Colorado. https://www.google.com/maps/dir/40.0906 ... !3e0?hl=en. Its a short cut and its thru a nation park that isn't meant for commercial thru traffic. If SCS did it here annnnnd in Yosemite, why not consider it for Yellowstone which is the most popular national part in the world.

Re: Wyoming Discussion Thread
US-34 in Colorado? There I wish they had done CO-14 instead.
How would it look with Montana?
+ it still could be possible to do a special transport depot in/at Yellowstone National Park, if space permits.
Regarding Cody, has anyone tried to check how it could look in ingame/ingame maps?
How small or big would it be?
Well, it would be 100% legal.ads678 wrote: ↑23 Sep 2021 21:05 It wouldn't look good, there should be a connection to the west. Although having WY-120 would be nice, there are still more important roads that should be added to the game.

Re: Wyoming Discussion Thread
That's an easy detour, I remember seeing in the news in Australia due to a couple of accident the only detour was 48 hours or so, across the middle of the country, up and back around lololdmanclippy wrote: ↑23 Sep 2021 17:09I don't know, I think I'm just glad enough that Winnemucca is no longer Grand Central Station for ATS.

Re: Wyoming Discussion Thread
It only looks bad when you look at the map. Irl there is no commercial trucking route from Cody to the west or southwest, so the picture you shared would be the most realistic option.ads678 wrote: ↑23 Sep 2021 21:05 It wouldn't look good, there should be a connection to the west. It might look better when Montana releases, but also kinda depends on whether we get US-310 (and possibly US-14 ALT).

I don't mind dead ends that much. The view on the way back is always different than the outward trip.
