Re: Wyoming Discussion Thread
SLC to Evanston and Cheyenne to Laramie, I do not think they can have all the elevation that people want.

Re: Wyoming Discussion Thread
All the elevation? Its two elevations that you need, a top and a bottom. That shouldn't be hard to do. Washington, Colorado, Sierra Nevada and ProMods Canada all feature obvious elevation changes. Its possible if they really wanted to create the illusion of elevation. The key is gradual. On a linearl note, the climb to the Eisenhower Tunnel in Colorado cut out the parts in needed to in order to gain gradual elevation. On a curvy note, US-550, US-160 and US-40 gain elevation thru switchback. Its very possible to make elevation changes. NV-140 to OR-140 at the border...short road that gained elevation nicely. It doesn't take 5 ATS miles to do it. It can be done in less than half that distance if they wanted to.

Re: Wyoming Discussion Thread
Agree with Shiva, specifically on elevation change between Utah and Wyoming. Most of space between Evanston and I-84/I-80 Jct is taken by Utah and Wyoming port of entries. Seems to me they don't intend to change this. Let's hope for elevation changes east of Evanston, specially the portion called highway to heaven.
Re: Wyoming Discussion Thread
I agree with what we have now, more than likely doesn't get changed. It all starts up front in the very beginning though. Lay out the roads better and elevation is more feasible to implement. Trying to go backwards and fix what is there may not work with existing maps. Account for everything is the key, not just the current w.i.p dlc. There isn't much space between that junction and Evanston but that doesn't mean it couldn't have been. There is a lot of space eaten up from US-6 over to that I-84/I-80 junction that could have helped with elevation a bit more. It doesn't need to be a huge drop but at least something noticeable that its a grade.

Re: Wyoming Discussion Thread
Has anyone spotted this yet? I caught these two hilltop figures over I-25, north of CO 14, as seen there from the interchange. They're surely these two bison. Were they added in 1.40?

Furthermore, I consider that I-80 across Nevada must be redone next.

Re: Wyoming Discussion Thread
Wyoming does have quite a few of those sprinkled around. Should be fun locating them all. Only thing missing from the real life scene to the in game is that good looking car hauler, lol. I sure hope SCS updates the current trailer to the more realistic variant of 5th wheel hauler. The current hauler doesn't cut it anymore for a game that is pushing for more realism. Getting the dedicated car haul is a ton of work and involves modifying the chassis of all trucks.....again. People will want to choose any truck they want to make a dedicated hauler and I don't see that happening.
With that said, Iberia is out. I wonder if this upcoming week will be a slow week or entertaining week. ATS should get at least one blog for a map. There are 3 of them that are w.i.p. A Wyoming blog last came on March 31st. Is it time for every 2-3 weeks for Wyoming yet? No telling. Either way, the next 2 weeks will be edge of the seat watching for blogs. Maps are not the only thing to blog about either so heading into the Summer dlc release map, could bring anything along with 1.41.

That is such a beautiful view! With that Peterbilt car hauler in the foreground, that would be a good addition to the Google Maps Truck Spotting thread.
