Re: Texas Discussion Thread
Hey Flight50 imagine if they release Texas before a holiday weekend I’m guessing I know what you would be doing. Lol
For me when Southern California gets redone I know where I’m driving.
I’m interested also to see how the Gulf is handled, also how much space the western part has. I don’t know a whole lot about Texas, but I’m guessing I’ll learn some when I drive there.

Yep, you know I'll be spending my holiday time trucking, lol. Wakeup in the AM and instead of logging on to work, I can log on to truck, lol. I'm still not to positive Texas makes it out this year though. In fact, I'd much rather be as pessimist about it. If I lower expectations, I'd be quite thrilled otherwise for an earlier than anticipated release. If it does hit 2021 for the holidays, its on for real, lol. It takes over the Dec spot from ETS2 more than likely. ETS2 will release Q1/Q2 now perhaps. Honestly I think that's better. Currently we only get 3-4 weeks between the two games in the Winter releases. The delay in Iberia could actually be good. It only delays by 3-4 months. That's not too bad. Better than 6-12 months.
On the flip side of Texas, I honestly see it too going Q1/Q2 of 2022, but that won't be the norm for ATS. After Texas, I think ATS gets back on track but it depends on how they will split up the teams. 2 map teams is one thing, but trying to juggle 3 map teams is going to be tough. Well technically 4 map teams. The rebuild team will grow in size and they are pretty much doing a new dlc in may ways.

Re: Texas Discussion Thread
As long as Texas has the quality it’s worth the wait.
Same with the a California rebuild I’m really wanting it but I’ll wait longer for a better rebuild.

Yeah, that's what I always told ya, lol. The longer it takes to finally start rebuilding California, the more stuff that can get added and that is a huge plus. Utah broke the ice in landscaping for me. Look at that freakin' rock formation tool, lol. Utah, Idaho, Colorado, Wyoming will all be great examples for that rock formation too. Texas and Washington adds to the experience list so all 6 of those states have new assets that can go to California. That is 6 dlc's worth of experience that is much much higher quality than California. NM and Oregon are also much better but as a collaborative effort, all the states created after California is going to elevate California.
Texas may or may not introduce anything new but it will definitely be able to help out anything that comes during its development or after its released. The base map will get some much needed love. The density in Texas will probably be a good indicator of the type of density that happens outside of Texas. Portland and Seattle are some of the largest cities, but they are not in the top 10-15 by any means. Texas and California has the most largest cities per state and they will come before many others out East. Sure there is Pheonix, but it too will probably get reskinned to be much more accurate. Texas is kinda the template right now for how 2019+ mega cities will look.

Re: Texas Discussion Thread
^It would indeed. There are many interchanges in Texas that can provide that. Pretty much all 6 large cities here will have a few major interchanges per city perhaps. One thing I'm curious to know is will we only get 10 viewpoints for Texas. Texas is pretty much 2-3 times the size of any other state. Surely there can't be a max of 10 viewpoints. Each of the (6) largest cities could have two by themselves. Even if only one viewpoint came with those (6), we'd only have 4 viewpoints left for the entire state.

Re: Texas Discussion Thread
I agree and you were right Flight50 I was wanting this rebuild so bad a year ago or more, and now that it’s happening the possibilities are endless in my mind, and I: hoping when the lighting get better they can rework the Las Vegas casinos brighter, and make Las Vegas Blvd drivable, hey I can dream lol.
I think Texas will have a surprise or two for us, and given how good they have done other cities I’m excited to drive Los Angeles rebuilt. I can’t wait to see how it true feeling.

Re: Texas Discussion Thread
Yes, I think a new Nevada and a polished Vegas could indeed get us more of the strip and let the new lighting serious make Vegas a spectacular view. Vegas is cool as is but a few tweaks would really bring it out.
I'm not sure what surprises Texas could bring but I'll be all eyes and ears for news. The blogs will be highly anticipated for Texas. It should be the most blog dlc just simply because of its size and amount of content that gets packed in. California will get blogged like Germany did so it won't be as numerous as a new dlc. It will get treated like a reskin for sure.

Re: Texas Discussion Thread
Hopefully some more ownable trailers come with Texas and a massive oil/gas industry as well as farm industry.
I would love to have ownable chemical, fuel, and propane tankers. If so I have big plans for Texas.
