^Well people get offended when you call them Americans when they are not from the US though. What are a people to do? Canada, Mexico and perhaps South Americans. They just don't go by that term. They go by their country. The United States is a country. Brazil=Brazilian which is the country, Canada=Canadian which is the country. America is just shortened for United States of America I suppose. Its just the association the globe gave the US. When someone says America they assoicate it with the United States of America 99% of the time. I'm just the messenger, lol. I don't think its meant to be a superior thing, its just how the association came to be.

The perception of the United States citizen that occurs in our minds when we say American is not something that can be broken. Also, being a Japanese does not change the truth that u'r a Chinese.

Probably already been mentioned but I'm gonna say it anyway. Texas combined with Coast to Coast will bring the first true coast to coast runs with reliable enjoyment throughout.
I'm excited.

Not everyone runs mods so I honestly wouldn't look at it like that foe everyone. Now we can go Pacific to the Gulf of Mexico. That's body of water to body of water at least. That's 1600+ miles on I-10.

I’m curious how much better the ocean will look in Texas. The west coast is fairly dated, and most of the ocean on that side doesn’t look great. The California rebuild has made some parts of the coast look nicer, but I can’t tell if the water for example is still the same as it used to be.

I’m saying this because rivers are a thing that I’ve noticed improve with every single DLC. Every time I play a new DLC, I feel like rivers are more detailed in water features, rock works and vegetation.

I think it’s a given that the coast in Texas will be nicer than in Washington, but by how much?

Good question. We'll find out soon enough. There should be lots of coast coming with the Southern and Eastern states to get that answer. There's nit much of a road like CA-1 for Texas though. The closest we get iirc, is TX-35 and the road thru Galveston.

I think its time for a Texas blog now. Nov 10th was the last one. Before that it was Oct 12th. We are approaching that 1 month mark. This week or next week is it. SCS goes on holidays after that. So whatever is coming from SCS, will be in the next 2 weeks. Things have been a bit quite for ATS lately. Quiet before the storm or there isn't much of anything.

So perhaps something to finish out ATS strong, Xmas event and Xmas stream perhaps.

Most people nowdays get offended over anything, bunch of snowflakes.
Funny thing is they see it as strength, when in fact is a weakness. The easiest someone can get under your skin, the weaker you are, mentally.

And how exactly could it possibly be a "superior" thing?
I can't understand where the pride of US citizens come from.
If I was to make a list of 20 countries I'd accept migrating to, US wouldn't be in it.

I'm assuming you only read my post and not everyone's. I was commenting on this post viewtopic.php?p=1637124#p1637124. Ask that member.

I'll go ahead and respond since it was my quote that started that. I was saying we DON'T think we're superior to others as justification for owning the term "American" to identify ourselves.
Xaagon wrote: 01 Dec 2021 03:25 It's not that we (US citizens) only use "American" without the North, Central, or South to refer to ourselves because we think we're somehow superior to everyone else in the western hemisphere. It's just that "United Statesians" is a bit awkward to say.
