Haha, yes I was thinking something airline related too. But that's not where flight50 comes from. It works though, lol.

Secondary roads...........that's me. I'd much rather travel them. I like the view better with the terrain and seeing small towns along the route. The road typically turns and twist along with better elevation changes. I get to work my truck and I like that. I use a wheel and a stick shift so its a lot more fun on secondary roads for me. A good mix is desired so that I can pick and choose. The Western US is more secondary heavy but as we push East in ATS, things will go more Interstate heavy due to scale. Still, I see the devs getting as many secondary roads in the game as they can in ATS dlc's. Once we get closer to the Mississippi, we'll get a better understanding on how the devs approach mix Interstates and secondary roads for ATS. Eastern US is heavily green so a lot of tree walls will help create secondary roads....I hope. Even Eastern Texas will do that. We'll get an idea how Eastern US will work based on East Texas to a degree. It depends on how dense the devs make East Texas though. East of Houston over to the Louisiana/Texas border all the way up towards Texarkana will be interesting to see how it plays out. I don't know that part of Texas but I look forward to exploring it.

I like to have a good mix of highways and secondary roads. Some times I like real long haul 1500 miles and up and then is highway all the way. Other times I like to travel around a specific state or country and I then prefer to take smaller roads preferably curvy for sightseeing.
There are naive questions, tedious questions, ill-phrased questions, questions put after inadequate self-criticism. But every question is a cry to understand the world. There is no such thing as a dumb question.

I was thinking something like: five police cars on the side of a rural road deep in the heart of Texas, across a field from a state prison, the officers hold a prison escapee at gunpoint, his accomplice lay dead next to the getaway car surrounded by thick wheatgrass soaked in blood, fog drifts into the scene warning of an impending storm, and far in the distance, a dog barks.

and just down the road from the chaos, a mysterious billboard features "flight50" with a picture of a bunny for no apparent reason.

that's what i envision.

Same here...kinda. Currently the ATS map is too small for me to desire trips longer than 800 miles though. I got burned out awhile back. By the time we get to the Mississippi River, perhaps Montana, Oklahoma,Kansas,Nebraska, Louisiana, Arkansas and Missouri are all in place. That is when 800+ mile trips become more feasible to me. I hope SCS build out ATS in a stair step map for sure. I think the possibility for all those states comes by 2025 and that's being on the conservative side. 2024 could be possible. The map team is growing and after this beast of a dlc in Texas, its all downhill and that includes Montana. I just hope enough people are buying ATS dlc's still to justify continuing the project.

I think once we get further East, that might be more of the terrains that more ETS2 fans are looking for and just might give ATS a shot. People are either holding out for that or just flat out don't want to play in North America.

@KnuteOle That's a bit graphic, lol. Considering the game is PEGI3, not a chance for all that.

Hmmm. So an airplane on a billboard with the energizer bunny straddling the plane with the words Flight50 on the rear fuselage.

^Actually it's a basketball thing. 50 is the jersey number I wore in school for admiration of David Robinson back when he was playing in the NBA. Flight comes from be being able to dunk the basketball when I was younger and 100 lbs lighter, lol. In flight to the rim.

I know there is a basketball player in ATS (I believe somewhere in Idaho Falls). Maybe SCS is gonna do something special with this basketball player asset in the Texas DLC. Somewhere near DFW.
