Our company keeps expanding, and with it, the ATS team - we've got many more people compared to what we had 2 years ago - the team was way smaller then, keep that in mind. Fans' expectations and our ambitions often go hand in hand, but compromises are difficult, yet necessary part of the development process.
That care is evident I promise you that! With Colorado and now Wyoming, your graphic art work has been a highlight and has provided valuable diversity to the companies in game. Whoever worked on the billboards in Wyoming also did an excellent job, I don't know if that was you or a colleague.

I am confident Texas will continue that trend of introducing lots of local character into each state. Yes, we do rag on SCS for the industries, companies, and cargo, but that's only because you have set the standards so high with excellent work in the past. It really is a compliment, if we didn't think you guys had it in you to reach such heights then we wouldn't be so passionate about it :)

Totally agreed. I only rag on SCS where I know improvements can be made and aspects of the game I'm passionate about. Trucks...they are nice but I rather see more just for AI traffic. I'm still perfectly content with my W900. Graphics, I was fine after DX11 hit. They still improving there. It got even better once the new lighting hit. I'll take it but I never complained with what we had. Fmod, adds a lot to the game and creates layers now. I was cool before but even better now, I only wanted better trucks sounds, but I'd take fmod happily. AA support. I can careless but I know its tops for many. Idon't see the jaggies like everyone else. Getting out the truck, I can careless but I know others want that too so bring it. Now for me, I've been adamant about 2 areas of the game. 1) more chassis options. More specifically 8x4 and 4x2. We finally got that. Kudos to the devs. 2) the economy. More specifically... yep..ICC's. Now we are lacking here in ATS big time. Way behind. Will it improve to represent the US a bit better? I sure hope so. Only think we/I can do is talk it into existence.

Can SCS do better, yep. They are capable. We see it. Its not easy but its possible. Its that standard in which they keep raising the bar. So why can't I raise the bar as a fan. Why can't I keep ideas coming. Closed mouths don't get feed it the way I was taught. Being on here keeps my mind turning. Why? Because I love this game. I love big rigs. Have since I was in 3rd grade way back in 88' when I got by first taste of hearing a trucker pull his air horn. I've been hooked every since. When I found ATS...I was in heaven. I stopped all my other hobbies and ceased to play other games and only dealt with ATS. ATS is my game. Buttttt, improvements need to come. If I can help bring awareness to certain improvements, you can bet I'm going speak up. Many of you know my passionate for ATS and like to see me contribute via post. Some see my post as annoying. I can careless, Sorry. I post for positive changes that I think more people could enjoy. I don't come here to dog the devs. I come here to help open the devs eyes. I look at it like this. The US is a totally different culture for people that do not live here. Many take interest in the culture and way of life here. Some have no interest and that's their loss. So if something is not getting attention that I think has a shot to make ATS, yes, I'm talking about it. Its not just for myself on what I'd like to see. What I talk about benefits everyone that plays the game to create that much more immersion. If I don't talk about something, doesn't mean I'm against it. Its just that its not my passionate to elaborate.

👀 Nice to see Annie active on the forum! And now that she's only working on the ATS side it will be interesting to see what she does for Texas and the other upcoming DLC's! A bit sad that ETS2 wont get more of her amazing art but i like ATS more anyways

Just because she posted here on the ATS side, doesn't mean she only works on ATS. It's possible that she's working Texas, yes. I'm sure that's a very false statement assuming she dedicated to ATS now though.

It isn't a "very false statement" - it is a correct statement. I have left the ETS2 team completely in order to work on ATS fulltime, as stated in my profile here (hopefully it shows LOL, not too familiar with the settings). I also mentioned it on my IG :).

ETS2 has welcomed a new 2D artist, I'm sure she'll do a terrific job, she's incredibly skilled <3

Yeah, those billboards were all my work. Glad you liked them! To me, it's important all the new big franchises we introduce are also featured on billboards and various other assets, so that they don't feel random but instead, they make the world feel more connected :)

Apologizes to you Sir. I didn't read her IG profile.

Apologies to you as we'll Ms. Annie. Thanks for the confirmation. This is huge for ATS.......I mean HUGE. This is freakin' awesome news actually. I'm glad you feel that ATS needs to be connected. Your going to be a huge plus for ATS, I can tell you that now. The work introduced to Colorado elevated the game that much more. Now knowing that ATS has you full time is epic. ATS is a 10+ year project easily. I...we hope you stick around for that. Its as long road ahead and tons of work ahead. When ATS goes to more map releases a year, we'll see what you pull out the bag a lot quicker. Get Texas and Montana done and your work load is more mellowed out. Texas is a beast to come up stuff for. Kudos for Annie on the ATS team. So will we see you hang out and read the ATS forums a bit more now Annie? Are you allowed to give us teasers? Like remade old prefabs when you do them? There are tons of graphics to do. The easy part for you, is that you only have to deal with English and you're are a pretty good English talker. You're pretty cool to watch on the streams. You bring a lot of energy and passion for what you do. Great asset to SCS and more specifically, great asset to ATS.

See, it does pay off to talk about ICC's so much, lol. Annie's work ties into ICC's I'm sure. I can see a lot of uplift coming for ATS and I'm hoping I can lower my frequent post at the least for new companies. I can see even older prefabs now getting a face lift to bring them up to par with the newer stuff. More new restaurants, new signs, new trailer design and new company designs. I don't think there can be any better news for ATS this week for me. This confirmation is my ATS highlight for the week. I look forward to Streams with Annie even more now. I look forward to updates and map release to see what new she brings.

This is indeed great news. HoR and Texas are two big projects and it's good to know, that there's at least one 2D Artist for each project now and for each game in the future.
That's good for us and definitely good for Annie and her colleague, regarding the divison of the work :)

Overall it's nice to see that the team is getting bigger and bigger.

Awesome! I especially like the ones that are specific to certain areas, like the billboards on I-80 warning to slow down or pull over in high wind, or the "See WY Wyoming is so great" pun. Little things like that help differentiate between states and I can't wait to see what Texas has to bring in that regard! :)

In Minnesota, there is a real estate company that has these ridiculous billboards set up all over Minneapolis and St. Paul and they have become a local meme the past couple years: https://www.krislindahl.com/inc/skins/h ... ris-go.jpg Clearly it is effective despite its ridiculousness, because I remembered it enough to post it online in a truck simulator forum  Anyways, I think SCS could have some fun with taking corny pictures of employees as advertisements for in-game businesses and stick them on billboards. Kind of like those Joe Sackall lawyer billboards on the base map (I assume that's an employee anyways). A good percentage of billboards that I see on the highways are for either real estate agents, insurance agents, lawyers, political candidates, specialist medical professionals like dentists or eye doctors, etc and they all have their faces on the billboard.

The rest are for McDonalds and other fast food restaurants, car dealerships, local tourist traps, travel plazas, tourism agencies, public service announcements, banks, universities, heating/cooling, plumbing, electrical, radio stations, etc. ATS is doing a good job of replicating a lot of those so far.
