Honestly, I hope SCS doesn't provide those. If they do, block them off as it only needs to be for authenticity. Trying to turn around with divider barriers doesn't give good space for a full safe U-turn. I'm quite sure someone will try using these for the heck of it. Those side roads are not meant for semi trucks I'm sure so no reason for us to access them if a depot is not out there in no mans land. I'd leave such for US and state highways vs Interstates.

Oh, yeah. They're definitely not for semi trucks. They have no dedicated turn lanes, and good luck getting a gap big enough in 80+ MPH traffic to make a turn with a 53 foot trailer. There's really no reason to the use them, even in a car either. They just connect to a network of unpaved roads that ultimately lead to a dead-end in the middle of the dessert. They connect the actual exist too anyways. Even if they're utterly useless and dangerous, it would still be interesting to have some depicted in ATS just for the uniqueness factor. Just block them off the invisible walls.

Yeah I'd rather an invisible wall than XXXX barriers. But I know someone will complain or send a bug report without XXXX barriers there. I know there are medians connecting roads on I-30 between Dallas and Little Rock, Ark. Typically the are marked as no unauthorize vehicles. I only see cops hang out on these roads. Perhaps they are there for super long stretches of roads when first responders need to quicker access to the other side.

Yes, median crossovers are for emergency vehicles and highway maintenance crews. Those are the "authorized vehicles" that the sign refers to. All Interstate highways have median crossovers, and those are already present in ATS. But these on Interstate 10 are actual intersections with a cross road connecting to them, not just another crossover.

Here's an example of one of the crossovers that ATS has:

Oh really. I don't recall seeing those in game. But then again, I suck at the "Where is this" game, lol. I wouldn't remember any locations besides the ones I know exist in real life that I've traveled frequently.

What if...........SCS gives first responders access to these cross overs randomly as a path for them only? If SCS ever game first responders the ability to randomly become active first responders as random events, cross overs would be a nice way to see them in action on US hwys and Interstates that have cross overs. SCS can make a trigger point for them to activate their lights. We'd need to see those flashing lights to react. Either we halt or slide over. I think the AI can deal with first responders reacting live. For the most part, the AI will slow or halt and activate their flashers if something in front of them stops. So they can actually react to sudden adjustments by another AI or human player.

Having sent a bug report because of missing XXXX barriers before, I have to say it can be a little confusing whether you're supposed to access someplace or not. SCS likes to put hidden roads in the game which are not shown on the GPS. How would you go about finding these if XXXX barriers are replaced with invisible walls instead?

That said, I would like to see an alternative to the XXXX barriers in-game that doesn't break your immersion. Invisible walls would not be a good alternative imo.

Type "g_show_game_blockers 0" into the game console, and it will make the XXX barriers invisible. This is the workaround to make them not break the immersion.
