For what it's worth, I always had a bone to pick with the first few models, but I didn't really say much because I didn't think we'd ever get to CAD references this soon so I made my peace with it at the time. The 389 was NEVER good enough.
At this point though, I agree with you only because Peterbilt and KW just had to change their newest trucks this year, so now if SCS were to change the models, there's a slim chance that it would mean just replacing them with the new generation, which I'm not a fan of. That and while SCS struggled to get licensing for the first few trucks, a couple of trucks from Freightliner and International I really liked (Coronado 132 and 9900i respectively) went out of production, so now I'm nervous about any other trucks suffering that same fate in the near future.

Of course, none of this will be much of a problem anymore when/if we get to the point of classic trucks being included in the game. But that remains to be a far-fetched pipe dream.

Awwwww the 132. Don’t mention it, lol. That would have been a beauty in the game. Only way we get it is with Jazzycats mod now. I stopped using his mods a year ago with the exception of his bus traffic mod. With all 7 brands in the game and more to come, it’s not the same 4 models over and over and over.

I’ll never give up 100% hope on a classic dlc pack though. You never know what can happen. If truck generations go 5 years or so (I don’t know the exact number), I wouldn’t be surprised if every model from 2018 on the road today, will come to ATS before the next gen kicks in. Some will go out of production before that time and we will loose them but at the same time, we don’t know SCS’s pipeline of trucks in the que. What’s to say one of those in jeopardy isn’t in the works now. Obviously the W990, 49x, HX new T680 and new 579, will be here for awhile. The new Cascadia might get a face lift before 5 years hit but at least we have it now.

LT, 122SD, Pinnacle and VNL, those are almost now or never. Will Peterbilt come out with a modern version of the 389 like Paccar did with the iconic W900. The 389 is just as iconic.

Are SCS ever planning on updating the Peterbilts in this game? I like them but at this point they are pretty poor quality models, both interior and exterior wise.

At least for the 579, I'd rather see the new model in the game than to burn time with the old model. After finally seeing the new model, I must admit that both it and the new T680 are sweet models. Both the 579 and the T680 could be the first time we can get two different generations of trucks in the game for the same model. The old Cascadia should have gotten that luxury but it didn't materialize unfortunately.

The Cascadia file is named with the year. So there’s a good chance that we could get another Cascadia. But it could be even a newer model. Also Freightliner seems to be too happy and excited about the recent Cascadia release so anything could happen.

Peterbilt 579 is the truck that needs the most attention. It doesn’t have the Ultraloft cab option and the Paccar powertrain. The chances they would be added to the existing model are slim, given that we have a new model that could be added. Personally I see both the trucks added before 2022. The Eatons, for some reason, aren’t that fuel efficient.

I highly doubt we'd get a newer Cascadia. Its the same gen as what we have now. Best case, SCS inked a deal for the old one and Daimler said focus on the new in production models first. Doesn't mean my thought is right though. The only thing that could happen with the current 579 is a tuning pack and a small reworks. Perhaps better interior textures. Reworks and tuning pack would put the fan base over til the new 579 could debut in ATS. I don't think SCS is forgetting about Paccar at all. What if Paccar approached SCS just like WS. Obviously the trucks won't debut day one, but that doesn't mean they can't see the light of day in ATS.

Having the old cascadia as much as I'd like to see it in the game it won't happen however they are never 0 but there is hope that once SCS get the new VNL and LT in the game we have a tiny chance of getting the new 579 maybe I'm wrong but only time tells
Take it with a grain of salt nothing is 100% sure

Its really a matter of time for the new 579. Definitely the new VNL and LT first though. Those two complete NA's current in production trucks.
