We need windshield options. Single piece 389 , splitted Anthem or W900. I wish SCS will add those with tuning DLC's

That actually would be a cool add though. I don't like splits but I know many do and is another form of customization.

Idk if it would work as an accessory, some trucks have completely different wiper layouts depending on the windshield type and AFAIK the game doesn’t support having wipers as accessories since they are animated models (flags and hanging accessories are different because those are physics based). The W900 for example, with the single piece windshield has horizontal wipers that overlap each other. On the split window option, the wipers are vertical and stay that way through the entire arm swing.

Heck, even the 389 is a different cab I think since the single piece curved windshield wouldn’t fit in place where the flat split-glass is.

it is doable, would be a mix like the SBA and SFA for the 49X and mainland Europe and UK variant because of wipers, which means 2x the cabs for the truck where the only difference is the windscreen

Agreed. Its just more work for the devs. I would only expect them to only go to those extremes for new CAD referenced trucks.

The amount of work to add split/single windshield really depends on the truck. For P389 and W900 it would require a whole new cab, separate interiors and animation. But for example the Anthem could just have the "divider" as an accessory, since it's wipers IRL are designed in a way that allows both types of windshields installed without any changes and this is reflected in-game.
The smallest details always make the biggest difference.

Hopefully we'll get it before two years.
