Re: Kenworth Trucks Discussion Thread
I prefer the old one more.
The new one just looks weird. Like it was designed by a person with no experience, who just copied a bunch of things from other trucks and cars.
And that narrow grill makes it even worse.

The smallest details always make the biggest difference.

Re: Kenworth Trucks Discussion Thread
If not something new, then id personally love to see all current models in the 2020-2021 Models added. Engine specs have changed, interiors have changed. The 2021 Default W900 comes with a split curve glass and more interesting paints. Even the light package have changed to LED´s.
Same thing for the T680, id love to see it updated.
And ofcourse all brand of old, should have current gen added. Just like the ETS Version´s, base models are there, just need a little bit of a polish.

Well, predictable, the new 579 looks better than the new T680 just like the old 579 looked better than the old T680.
I have approximate knowledge of many things
Re: Kenworth Trucks Discussion Thread
@pigbrother My thoughts excactly. Don't know what it is but the current T680 is my least favorite truck in the game. Funnily I'm way more pleased by the look of the 579 even though they're pretty similar overall of course. That's said I'd be very glad to see both next gen versions in the game. The digital displays alone will be a welcomed addition to the interior varieties for me.

Talking about current T680, I dislike the dashboard, is so bland and empty and lifeless, it looks like a cheap delivery van. New Cascadia in not too far from this. On the outside, the truck would look way much better if the roof was not so simple, 579, Cascadia, LT or VNL at least have some breaking lines to create a particular shape, T680 roof is just a long curved slope, i could use a sled on that with no problem.

Both the new 579 and new T680 are ugly to be brutally honest. If the nose on both weren't so narrow. Then of course I didn't like the look of the T600 and T660.
In a world full of swift drivers, I'm an O/O.
Re: Kenworth Trucks Discussion Thread
Well each to their own. The narrower hood & grill on the new gen 579 & 680 model has made it look much better design wise. Have given them both personality instead of another boring basic model most US Aero trucks these days look. Although i do agree with Pigbrother that i prefer the 579 look a little bit better then the 680 but i still really do like the look of the new 680 compared to the old model.
I don't mind the interior it's neat and clean and no shitty mirror cam which is a bonus. The digital cluster looks the same as the 579 is and as i said on the Peterbilt thread it is a good alternative imo for driver's that don't like having mechanical gauges all over the dash. Only thing that has questioned me is if Cummins engines are available for the T680 as i'm only see a Paccar powertrain available on the website.

I think the exterior looks good and is an obvious evolution from the current model. On the other, I do not like the all digital dash though it too is an obvious evolution.
I hope we get them both ingame.

The new T680 looks like 95% the same to me.Only the bumper seems different, and the lights(well, except the housing shape, which looks the same as before to me).

Good afternoon folks,
Today, I’ll update the KW poll to include the T680 Next Gen as well as post new photos on the first page of this thread. Fingers crossed the results don’t reset?
