Kenworth Trucks Discussion Thread
Re: Kenworth Trucks Discussion Thread
So there are two grill types for the T680, chrome with black and full chrome?
Re: Kenworth Trucks Discussion Thread
And none without chrome?
Re: Kenworth Trucks Discussion Thread
I was looking at some video yesterday of the new T680 and I hadn't really paid much attention to it prior to that video. Its a very sexy truck honestly. Between it and the new 579, I think both get into ATS but which one comes first is the question. Texas might be a w.i.p. dlc and you'd like to think the 579.......but that could be a disappointing thought. Texas does not guarantee the new 579. I'm not saying the T680 comes instead but between the two, both really should come to ATS at some point. They are both very attractive trucks and gives the Cascadia a run for its money when it comes to appearance. I'm sure we'll see fleets buy these two trucks up in the masses. By 2025, the Paccar vs Daimler race could be tighter. Sure there is Volvo and International but Pacaar and Daimler just have a ton of models that I'd love to see in ATS someday.
My post are only thoughts and ideas. Don't assume it makes ATS.

For me, New 579 > T680 Nextgen. The former is more feature-packed than the latter. Also, Peterbilt nailed the new look but for some reason Kenworth doesn’t look as good as peterbilt. Even from the game’s point, bringing 579 even before VNL or LT has a lot of advantages to the game - Ability to transport them with Texas DLC, Mirrorcam/Digital dash for ATS and most importantly, the Ultraloft Cab.
I accidentally turned my camera back towards my Kenworth sleeper yesterday and realized how bad the quality is (it’s worse than the VNL’s lounge). At this point, I would like to see good quality models for Peterbilt, Kenworth and Volvo rather than a second model for other four brands.
A general question though. Why do the Kenworth T680 doesn’t have a sun visor? Like how do they justify not having one by design?

Finally not a round shaped classic looking hood mirror. Some people didn't like the new PACCAR trucks but I really love them

The hood mirrors haven't changed. They're the same on the new and old T680. Unfortunately, the hood mirrors on the SCS T680 in ATS are not accurate at all.

Probably to help with fuel economy, plus there are flip down visors in the interior so maybe they thought it was redundant. There are some aftermarket visors though.

Not inaccurate but missing. Because I saw the round classic looking mirrors. But even that would be inaccurate because I've never used hood mirrors on T680. But I really liked the modern version.

Saw the new model 680 on the road yesterday around Houston, TX. It was a white sleeper truck but I can't remember what decals were on the door. Very nice looking.

More unfortunately the whole T680 is not accurate at all...supersobes wrote: ↑24 Jun 2021 05:38 Unfortunately, the hood mirrors on the SCS T680 in ATS are not accurate at all.
The smallest details always make the biggest difference.
