I want to take a bit and jump back to VNL vs VNR, since they're fairly similar in design/uses. Part of this is because I've recently started a job working for a company that moves trailers around the Procter & Gamble plant in my city, and we mostly use the VNR daycab (besides the spotter trucks that go from lot to door). We do go to offsite locations, but typically never more than 45 minutes away. Plus, besides staying on property or nearby, we work 12 hour shifts and have no need for sleepers.
Since most ATS players drive all over, I have a feeling SCS will want VNL because that is the long haul/otr truck whereas the VNR is more of the regional, short journey use truck. Even though the VNR has a daycab, midroof, and high roof sleeper options, the VNL is used for longer journeys. Perhaps they add the VNR at a later date too, almost with an intended use for company drivers since they go from garage to city and back.
Also, I'm curious as to whether they will do the 760 or 860 for the high roof VNL sleeper.
