Updated the first thread adding the Volvo VNX and also in the poll + added the link to the brochure of the three trucks :)
Due to the addition of the Volvo VNX, the poll was reset. For those who voted, vote again!

The new Volvo VNL has the 780, but the top of the line configuration with the dinette is now called the VNL 860 on the new truck.
There is a difference between the old and new Volvo VNL options trim nomenclature.

Reference information.

old VNL (2002)
- VNL 300 - daycab
- VNL 430 - 42 inch flat-roof sleeper
- VNL 630 - 61 inch mid-roof sleeper
- VNL 670 - 61 inch high-roof sleeper
- VNL 730 - 77 inch mid-roof sleeper
- VNL 780 - 77 inch high-roof sleeper

new VNL (2018)
- VNL 300 - daycab
- VNL 400 - 42 inch flat-roof sleeper
- VNL 740 - 70 inch mid-roof sleeper
- VNL 760 - 70 inch high-roof sleeper
- VNL 860 - 77 inch high-roof sleeper

If SCS ever wants to dabble with specialty trucks like car haulers (hopefully with multi drops being implemented)
I'd like to see the Volvo VAH series included

They are not even adding vocational trucks for some reason so I don't think we will see those trucks. Although I really would like to see and drive different type of trucks like that.

I know the new VNL will come some day. But I am on board with a VNX making it down the road. I think every manufacturer that has a heavy hauler should give a license to SCS for ATS. I am really baffled that we still don't have 4x2s and 8x4s in ATS. I hate it when people keep saying ATS doesn't need it...ATS doesn't need it. Not every company runs articulated trailer for heavy haul. Most hh I witness here in Dallas are 8x4 with 3 or 4 axle lowboys. It not about running a dolly or spreader to spread out the weight. Its about what a real life company will run. The more wheels on a trailer you have, the more maintenance you have to do. So VNX for me someday but since there is only one vote, I had to vote new VNL.

I wish Volvo still made the VT Series trucks  I loved the VT-800 day cab. FWIW I always wondered why they never decided to play around with the idea of adding the smaller sleeper cabs to it, like the 430 for example .. but i guess its not worth wondering about what it would have looked like now.

I have tried to drive Volvo several times, but the engine sound always drives me away. :)

VT880 would be really really great tbh. I wish it comes in game someday.

It's, like, Volvo's take on a long hood?

The VT880 was supposed to be Volvo's option for Heavy Haul Owner/Operators. The D16 motor was capable of 625hp and more torque than a CAT on equal footing.
The trucks were nice, but extremely heavy. The D16 also had big issues with the injectors and turbo that weren't solved until about 09. By that point the truck was stuck with a bad rap, and lack of sales forced Volvo to discontinue the model.

It's one of my favorite Volvos, and while I don't see SCS adding it anytime soon, I wouldn't be opposed to seeing it ingame.
