Why is ATS/ETS2 so badly optimized.
Re: Why is ATS/ETS2 so badly optimized.
thanks but I don't need it. I use Nvidia inspector for the other settings not for the AA. I am very happy with 400% scaling, my game looks great and besides is very smooth too

Oh please use what tools you like
I meant the engine and games are very versatile and you can do almost everything you can imagine
It is not one size fits all

@cip If you don't mind me asking, as you don't use the roextended NPI settings, what settings do you use (in game and/or NCP and/or NPI)?

Aeh, game runs fine, I get almost 60 fps at 8k with max settings..! Hue Hue Hue
...seriously, even my 2500K and RX 580 ran these games just fine after DX11 was added, before that it ran decently as well but DX11 did a HUGE difference.

Re: Why is ATS/ETS2 so badly optimized.
well if it works it means are good settings to explain the 1/3 Vsync, I have a 120 Hz screen and I like to play with 40 capped FPS which for me it works the best since I have increased traffic and lots of traffic packs. at 60 FPS and these settings my GTX 1060 is under a much more stress and much warmer which eventually affect performance

Re: Why is ATS/ETS2 so badly optimized.
Was wondering about the 1/3 Vsync, if I did that with my system I'd be down to 20fps I've got a little bit more headroom then you though with a GTX 1660 SUPER OC.

Re: Why is ATS/ETS2 so badly optimized.
too bad that with a 60 hz screen there is no room for playing with 40 FPS. although Nvidia inspector has actually a frame limiter, I don't think playing with 40 FPS on 60 hz screen will make a good match. I tried in the past with 60 hz and 1/2 vsync but I found 30 FPS unplayable.
