Yeah that’s an interesting argument I hadn’t really considered before and I agree with it fully. We have LV and we have El Centro. Both the first base map cities coming from the East. For that reason, actually, I’m gonna throw my answer to Elko, NV. Both Elko and Winnemucca need a refresh imo and Elko’s spot in the corner next to Utah and Idaho would make it useful to have redone.

Kansas added! Up-to-date blog photo locations for upcoming states also included.

Not too bad of an idea if I must say so. Considering the paid dlc are better quality, starting closer to them first can blend things better better. Not to mention that the base map is old technology and mapping methods. You never know what can break on you. Its one of those times when starting with newer and working old works better vs starting old then expanding to the new. You have to cross more of the bad mapping if ou start dead center California. But if you start with the good and replace the bad, its less frustrating.

Yes that makes I-80 with Elko and Winnemucca more attractive indeed. East of Elko we have Utah. North of Elko we have Idaho. Now with a rebuilt Vegas, we get good quality into Utah. So good point @oldmanclippy. You might have figured out somewhat of a pattern. If Elko, Primm and Bartow get refreshers next, then that is a good push going West. That targets South California and the Bay area kinda like in the middle of rebuilds. North of LA and South of Redding would be last. Considering that most people avoid the base map, if they went from East to West rebuilding/reworking the base map, that would get people back into at least the Eastern extents of the base map. That could work.

Arizona is more like a retouch state. Textures, new model and road realignments mainly. At least not as much work as the other two older states. Nevada and Cali are in more need of attention.

Looks like San Francisco is getting revamped, maybe for 1.40? I am surprised for sure, but maybe SCS does not agree with me that SF can wait.

At first I thought it was somewhere in Washington state.
When I saw your post @leo.arevalo12ss you triggered me to do research.
I believe the shot is taken from the San Francisco Marina Yacht Harbor looking at Alcatraz Island.
The angle of the view, the water tower, the lighthouse, the background mountains and even the proportion of the map seems to be that (Alcatraz).
The only thing bugging me was those trees in the marina but there are in real life too... things can't be exact so I let go!!!!!!!!!
Let's see how it turns out.
By the way, for this very thread poll, I actually voted for San Francisco (as my second choice). I believe the most important would be the rebuild of the I-80 @ US-101 junction; the rest of SF is pretty good...let's see :D

I’m hoping they have the Bayshor freeway and the 101 80 jct and the 880 to connect to San Jose or Santa Cruz.

I'm not really surprised that San Francisco is getting redone before Los Angeles. Los Angeles is probably going to be a huge undertaking.
In a world full of swift drivers, I'm an O/O.

Adding more of the bay would be nice, and the San Mateo bridge is used by truck traffic. Oakland is in bad need of a makeover too.

All take what we get but I think Barstow or Elko been better choice. With one team working on Wyoming lol they have spare capacity for the big city rework, but I figure Texas they need everything and the kitchen sink working it.
