I would get rid of hornbrook altogether. Replace Eherenberg with Blythe but add Quartzsite as scenic with the truck stops.

There seem to be a lot of cities in the base map that elicit that question, "why?" Hornbrook, Huron, Ehrenberg, San Simon, Oakdale.

Hornbrook ==> Yreka
Huron ==> Lemoore, Hanford or Visalia
Ehrenberg ==> Blythe or Lake Havasu City
San Simon ==> Willcox or Safford
Oakdale ==> Modesto

Also now that I think of it, Camp Verde ==> Prescott

Never considered Weed taking Hornbrook's place. I actually really like that idea. My new plan:

1) Flip Hornbrook so that it's actually on the proper side of the highway. Keep the gas station and remove everything else. Unmark it but leave it in for nostalgia and gas.
2) Mark Weed, create a Tidbit drop point and add the Gas Station as a drop point too.
2a) South of Weed is a construction supply company so maybe extend Weed Blvd on the other side of the highway and add an HMS yard. Also tons of logging north of town, so a deepgrove facility would be cool, but honestly as long as we have the Tidbit it'll be 100x more useful as a destination than Hornbrook ever was.

@Onagerlinn I think Tulare would work better than Huron. Lot of produce warehouses there.

I feel Salinas is worthy of making it too. Lot of produce comes from there.

I agree with San Simon, Wilcox will be a better fit.

Same goes for Oakdale and add Modesto/Turlock.

I definitely hope for more produce in California. Farming is much better now and its going to blow up even more in the Great Plains.

I think they picked Hornbrook because it was further north but I would agree it eventually could be changed out, But to me it’s not a priority.
I agree with adding Blythe and Lake Havasu then we can have both 95’s and have the 62 to connect, so we start getting more routes in California instead if it being so empty like right now.

Voted Los Angeles, but maybe a slight facelift of Winnemucca and/or Elko would make sense as both are edge of base game connecting with newer dlc's.

Yeah as time goes on, I can support I-80 retouched. In doing so, yes Elko and Winnemucca makes sense. Add the necessary terrain heading into California with the inspection station. Iirc, this is Donner's Pass area. If its a more realistic, that add value. If we get an updated San Francisco and a revamped Oakland, I-80 would be on fire. Then that leaves I-15, I-5, I-10 and only I-40 to get retouches at some point. I'd rather see retouches on the base map Interstates rather that revamps or rebuilds. I think that is too much time spent. Excluding incorrect junctions though. The junctions and on/off ramps should be addressed as the roads are updated.

The renewed Donner Pass was something I thought these days looking at some videos on youtube. I was also looking at a documentary of trucks towing in the snow of the Donner Pass and I kept thinking about that part of the map. Truckee with time deserved some love.

I’m hoping they add the 95 to the 80 where there is a truck stop because it would be a nice addition.

Also there should be the 80 realigned because they use a lot of miles at the state line so we can have it go to the Donner Pass and make room for San Francisco.

The 40 needs to be touched up atleast but the scenery doesn’t look like he real thing, and there is enough room to add the elevation drop to Needles. I’d add Ludlow for a truck stop so it’s not over 100 miles with out an exit.

The 15 needs to be reworked to add Baker, redo Barstow is a definite because they spread it out to much and it doesn’t feel like a desert town, and if it’s reworked and have the 15 40 jct done right, have the right signs too, and also having the 15 reworked to add billboards for Las Vegas have Peggy Sues diner visible from the freeway and Calico Mtn and having Baker then it would really feel like the drive to Las Vegas going along the 15. South of Las Vegas is all that needs to be redone, the drop to Primm, the Baker grade, the Inland Empire.
