Lights on Cab Back Wall?

Always wondered why the lights (reverse and/or red lights) on the backwall of the cab don't work / are not implemented in ATS?
The Pete 389 has red ones, the WS 49X has white reverse/work lights, but non of these work.
I don't get it? :?

They're work lights, often referred to as "load lamps" in the trucking world, that are activated by a sperate switch. Drivers use them at night so they can see to do things such as hook up the airlines on the trailer or strap down the load. Unfortunately, the functionality to use them was never added to ATS similar to how the functionality to turn on the interior lights was never added.

What about the red lights on the Pete 389? I doubt those are working lights!

They come from the factory as white lights. The red lights are an aftermarket change because some drivers think it looks cool. That's just one of the many inaccuracies of the SCS Peterbilt 389.

Wouldn't surprise me if the photo references SCS had for the 389 was of a lightly modified truck with those red lights and they mistook it as being factory. This was before they used CAD references after all.

@Larry71490 Hmm. That's interesting. Is it a special option that the buyer must ask for when specing the truck? Form what I can find, the lights are white be default. :?

You have to spec what color you want and how many lights you want.

There is a lot of options to specing a truck. Most companies deal with one dealership for this reason as they know the company specs.

Also have some dealers that specialize in custom trucks such as Clint Moore at Kansas City Peterbilt better known as Clint Moore specs.
