Might want to look at the blog again...

LOWBOY TRAILERS

As we previously announced in a recent blog, new Lowboy Trailers will be arriving to American Truck Simulator. These trailers have been reworked from the ground up, offering drivers the option to purchase them and use them in an array of different jobs including Special Transport, Forest Machinery, and the Heavy Cargo DLC's.

they can be use with ST DLC just not owned ones, the sentence on the blog is kinda misleadingly written, it should be "or use them" and not "and use them"

I'm wondering if the asphalt miller is actually heavy enough so that it can only be hauled in on the lowboys with a jeep and stinger like it currently is in ATS. I saw a a whole bunch of asphalt millers just like the one in ATS being hauled in real-life, and they were all on single three axle lowboy trailers being pulled by tractors with two drive axles. From a Google search, I found that asphalt millers are typically not heavier than 40,000 pounds, while the one in ATS is 97,000 pounds! Why is the one in ATS so heavy?

Its misleading indeed, since I dont care for ST i wasnt even aware of this but assumed we could use our own trailers on ST hence it was heavy implied in the blog post.
Best Regards.

I made a bug report questioning loads on the 9 axle hh vs the 9 axle hh extended. It was ignored an buried. I don't see much getting tweaked or done for the new owned lowboys to depict more realistic cargo weights nor what can actually be hauled on them. We got what we got. We can't even get more cargo for flatbeds and people have been looking for updates on them for years.

Quick search:
The bulk of the milling machine market consists of half-lane machines weighing from 60,000 to 90,000 pounds

Full-lane units ... can weigh upwards of 110,000 pounds or more

@plykkegaard Oh, thanks for the correction! :)

@Robinicus Can asphalt millers hold material? I always thought that a dump truck had to drive behind it to collect the material as it came out of the machine.

It looks like there's a new command in 1.39. Does anyone know what it does?

Code: Select all
