Tesla Trucks Discussion Thread
The Tesla semi truck that was revealed in 2017 is due to start production in 2021 the question is and this is a longshot here. Would Tesla be the first electric truck manufacturer ATS gets or not? If they do want to take that approach, not only would they have to get the license from Tesla but they would have to add charging stations for the map.
Tell me if there needs to be a correction incase I messed up on something.

Re: Tesla Trucks Discussion Thread
Finally someone has to start this thread!
Yeah at a certain point, Tesla could make it to ATS. But if you ask if it would be the first electric truck to be featured in ATS, well, It may not be. The Freightliner dealership files contained the word 'electric'. Though we can take it with a grain of salt, what if it was actually true? Perhaps Daimler delayed the Cascadia launch because of this! Depending on what we get for Freightliner, the speculation game would change.
Charging stations can be added anytime. IMO initially they could be implemented on garages. To bring in more realism, the routes can be programmed accordingly.

Regarding charging those Tesla's or other electric/hybrid trucks, etc?
Streetview, october 2019.
The 2km route was this. Eastbound.

Similar projects are in Germany.
And maybe USA has those tests too?
If or when Tesla trucks comes to ATS or ETS2, no clue!

Let's see what it brings because Tesla might as well now be considered the 8th truck manufacturer although this statement may not be agreed upon they are producing the new semi but it really low numbers
0-60 in 20 seconds when it's weighed 80k pounds truck and trailer
300-500 miles on a single charge

I will believe it the day an independant reporter confirms it after extensive testing.
But with 300 mi range, I hope the bed is comfortable.

Re: Tesla Trucks Discussion Thread
If this truck ever comes to ATS, I'll mod it out or I assume I can just not load it up too right. This truck is not very attractive to me at all. The eCascadia and the T680e are legit. But this, the Nokola and any other truck that looks like it belong in the year 3000, can easily design around today's modern vehicles but they don't. I don't see why they are going centuries ahead of time.
My post are only thoughts and ideas. Don't assume it makes ATS.

Nikola might not make it because they are under investigation for some type of fraud so Tesla might make it into the game before nikola but hey electric trucks are unknown at the moment
