You'd think companies like that would realise this and teach new employees from day 1 just in case....
(insert both iowattruckerdgh48's and leo.arevalo12ss's RC related coments here)
There are probably decent reasons as to why they bypass those safeties... but god dam there there for a reason people O_O
Not realy in the RC world myself so didn't know about the apperantly highish rate of battery failure from there.

The punctured cell comment reminded me of a story where someone shot their model s battery pack from inside the pasganger cabin back in 2018...

It is a hold over from the NiCad days where we used to get a late race push if you could plan your pack dump just right....non-issue for performance though as already shared with the Li....most of the pack fires I have seen are from people running damaged packs (where you could actually see the bubbling before charging) or from repeated re-peaking of packs...another holdover from the old days that actually hurts performance on Li packs

Been a while since I shared anything....Tesla announced another delay on their class 8 on the investor update...another victim of the microprocessor shortage apparently

Expect more of these announcements to be formally made now that Paccar has openly shared their dilemma....not a surprise to anyone in the industry and the used market has already started to heat up just like on the automotive side.

Well.......a lot of trucks are getting old and time for renewals. It helps when fleets get deals to get newer trucks. With the pandemic, it doesn't help. Shortages around the globe are kicking in. This is great for Paccar though. Hopefully some of this success kicked over to SCS for ATS to get their latest models. The goal should always be to catch and/or top Daimler and if SCS can help, why not continue the partner ship.

The delays are all related to the global microprocessor issue....you should see the pics of the Ford F series trucks they have parked waiting for chips right now, last I heard it was over 45,000 and they are considering shipping to dealers and training their techs how to install them in the field (not a good idea)

Meanwhile they can do the same as Ford is doing in cars: use fewer electronic extras to continue production. The return to analogic era. :D ;)
