The dash lights and GPS should probably be looked into a little further imo. Seems that you can either have them so bright that it hurts to look at during the night and be able to see it no problem during the day OR turn the brightness down to where it's comfortable to look at at night but then it looks like it has no back light at all during the day. Having to adjust it whenever lighting changes every time seems like it could get really tedious.

Wonder how hard it would be to make auto dimming instruments a thing?

If they make the dashboard backlight auto dimming, then they might as well add automatic headlights as that's what most vehicles in real-life use as the trigger for dimming the dashboard backlight. If the headlights are on, the dashboard backlight is dim, and if they're off, the backlight is brighter. If all the lights are off (markers and headlights), the dashboard backlight goes off too.

Similarly to ETS2 1.40, ATS 1.40 has left me generally very happy. I agree that the brightness on the GPS and dash is a bit too dark, which might be realistic but it's difficult to see it especially as the sun is setting. Also, this isn't a bug but I think the depth cue color is a bit too blue. Might just be me but distant trees, mountains, and buildings seem more blue than they would be. But overall the lighting update is fantastic and is a great improvement to realism.

Agree on the dashlights, it isn't progressive enough any more; they are either on or so dim you can't see them

Now while the low beams on the Cascadia are on the running daylight goes off and looking at videos and pictures of the Cascadia it shows the running daylight on despite the low beams being on, so I don't know if it is a bug or it is intended someone could clarify?

Feel like the base value is too low on the dashboard lights. Sliding the slider to the right fixed it for me.

Does the speed limit in CA follow the signs in game and allow 2 axle trucks without trailers to drive at 75 as is the real life law?

@RGKevin Most likely a workaround for there not being a system in place currently to dim/ turn off a DRL when a turn signal is active.

The new light update is absolutely amazing and i'm very impressed with the results that people with good enough PC's are getting from this update, sadly my toaster can barely keep up 😂 but i'm used to that, but i just noticed something, idk if it's just my game or a bug, but for me the brightness slide bar on the graphics options doesn't do absolutely anything, high or low the game looks the same, even after restarting the game, for me the game is a little bit too bright at day time, thought the brigtness slide bar would help with that but it doesn't do anything, even on 1.39 it doesn't do anything, or it has always been like that and i just noticed it?
