ATS 1.40 discussion
Re: ATS 1.40 discussion
Washed out colors aren't a problem anymore (had been improved already in the patch before), I can confirm. It's allright with me!

Ahhhhh, okay okay. Sneaking in multiple things, lol.. I haven't noticed the washed out fixed as well. That is awesome too. Thanks for the confirmation SISl on the improvements.
I had been skipping night driving for a few weeks because of the flickering. I just recently did a night-time drive. I guess for a good reason to notice this fixed. Awesome!

Re: ATS 1.40 discussion
First time playing ATS since 1.40 dropped and I wondered: Is it common for US trailers to not have rear reversing lights? Quite difficult now to back ATS trailers compared to ETS2 (where the trailers have these lights) due to darker nights.

Yes it is. its been like that for decades (I think a few have reverse lights but might be rare) If you put your hazord lights on it might make you see little better and its pretty mandatory when you back up anyway.

As parasaurolophus67 said, reverse lights is optional / third party in the US

When using a wheel with pedals or a gamepad, I brake lightly to make the brake lights come on. Quite limited effect but once the trailer end comes close to a wall or vegetation that will get illuminated a bit. You should be looking out of the window... can't see much in the mirrors.

This is where better lighting comes into play. Either the prefabs needs better lighting or bring back the moon. The moon should be back either way though.

The Moon is present as new moon due to complaints from the #bestcommunityever

Also it's not a solution to bring back the moon as a permanent full moon. So there would be new moon phases and we'd be right where we are now.

Re: ATS 1.40 discussion
In real life it seems that nearly all Canadian trucks have reverse lights either on the back of the cab or mounted high at the rear of the sleeper, or, on the mirrors like on Overfloater's KW. For some reason it's not that popular on American trucks, I have no idea why.
It's helpful when backing into the line-up in truck stops and in backing into loading docks in the dark.
It's also helpful but not recommended to give that guy passing you with his high beams on a little blast in the eye-balls for being a jerk.
