@room217au We're still lacking dashboard light glow. Probably won't happen for a long time yet, though. I don't actually think any game does proper dashboard cluster reflections other than Assetto Corsa Competizione. Forza 4 and Driveclub kind of fake it, but it's still a monotone glow rather than proper reflections.

@mackintosh Agreed. It's still beta, so maybe they haven't got that far yet?
I'm driving SCS trucks for the first time in a donkey's age, and they're looking great.

Has anyone else noticed that since 1.39 or 1.40, the game has virtually no ambient sounds anymore? I could swear I heard wind rustling, forests sounds, bird sounds, city ambience in earlier versions of the game. But now no matter where I am in the game its completely dead quiet except for engine noise and a slight traffic noise.

Did SCS remove ambient sounds from the game or have they never been there? Shouldn't there be wind rustling in the desert, birds in forest and night sounds at night? Maybe I am imagining it but I thought some ambient sounds were there before.

^I'm not sure but based on the ETS2 blog the other day, they could be working on improved environmental sounds for ATS as well. Many of those ETS2 sounds can also work for ATS.

Today in a 49x I thought I heard some wind noise, but I am not sure. But the 49x has a rather quiet engine sound...

Anyone else reckon they're getting more headlight use offence fines than is reasonable?

Either certain places have a daytime headlights rule, or the offence timing is off. Had 2 in a row on last job at about an hour before dusk - the sun wasn't even really set and AI traffic didn't have headlights on. I kinda think a general rule is if the street lights are on, then you should have headlights on; but these fines are way before that.

Special transport for me is unplayable in 1.4 due to fps drops. @SCS wake up! Prehistoric game engine can bear this?

I typically always leave my headlight one. I like to use them as if they are day time running lights. But in 1.40, they keep deactivating themselves because I've been playing a lot of WoT lately. I get offense only because I can't tell if my lights are off unless I pan around to the front of my trucks while driving. So every straight away, I check my headlights.

ETS2 ambient sound works just fine, ATS on the other side dont have any... I removed engine sound mod, cleaned up cache, and created new profile, but ambient sound is still missing...
