(Poll) SSAO - On or Off ??

off for me. the fps it takes to run isnt worth it

Deleted GeForce experience and disabled steam overlay and set SSAO to medium and it seems to run much better. No stuttering at night in cities with traffic even in Idaho. Haven’t tried heavily wooded areas yet. I have scaling at 300% and all other settings maxed except mirror distance on medium.

There's an old saying in the sim communities of years gone by: "don't fix what ain't broken".
And for folks installing the "latest and greatest" drivers, especially when it comes to GPUs.. it very often leads to problems that before,
you "Did Not" have.

I swear I only install a driver if it's for a new GPU and maybe once or twice in it's life time after that.
Like CARL said.. he only installs if it's really needed and so should you.

I'm starting to wonder if ssao is the problem when it comes to performance. The slider right below I slid to 50% which seemed to help and got rid of the pixelated paint and weird shadows around the hood mirrors and or antennas on the Mack Anthem, Western Star 49X, International Lone Star.

I have the anisotropic slider set to about 25% and it seems to help a lot.

I have mine all the way to the right. I will turn it down and see if that helps too.

I tried turning anisotropy down and then off but I still have the grid on the hood if I have SSAO enabled.
