@supersobes I was hoping we would of got the 8x2 for all trucks in sleeper and daycab form.

I'm also hoping that 4x2 chassis can be added to trucks like the Kenworth W900, Peterbilt 389, and Western Star 49X. They're not super common in real-life, but they do exist. It'd be nice to have for creating some of those California style hay and grain haulers with the pup doubles.

@Shadow_Wolf Oh yeah. Well just maybe SCS could develop it for ATS at the same time ETS2 gets it. I wonder how much licenses are involved. Are they a factor or not type situation. Chassis for 8x4/8x6/ was up to SCS. SiSl clarified that on his parking challenge stream and now we have more chassis in ATS thankfully. I'd rock a W900 rigid for logging and tanker for sure.

maybe they didn't do it because its not really common for them? (I swear its weird to see on a 389 or W900)

It is very weird to see classic long nose in 4x2 configuration, lol. I won't bother to drive them but that doesn't mean that SCS shouldn't make them.

Yeah, they're almost non-existent in most of the country, so they do look pretty strange. But the agriculture industry in California seems obsessed with 4x2s. They even put them on cabovers and conventional sleepers. They run pup doubles for things like flatbeds, tankers, grain hoppers, etc. that you would probably never see in other parts of the United States.

Well the plus side to those weirdos is that is 4 less tires to buy. I'd rather SCS spend the time to slide the wire harness assembly back instead of the 4x2 Paccar's honestly. I'd also have to imagine that ATS has a truck in the works to focus on too. The 2020 xmas stream revealed both games have trucks coming. There are a few people I've seen complain about the new model in ETS2. Whether its similar or not to the other Range T, its still a new model and a higher quality one at that. North American trucks are for the most part different form the models in the game. Even the new 579 and new T680 can be told apart side by side. Any new ATS trucks is accepted with less fuss normally. If you don't like it, its typically the design itself that people don't like but the quality is there. Anything build 2019 or newer is going to be good.

I don’t know, look to match like toy trucks to me
There are naive questions, tedious questions, ill-phrased questions, questions put after inadequate self-criticism. But every question is a cry to understand the world. There is no such thing as a dumb question.
