I think the point they're making is that people will blame SCS for problems caused by the mods, and then SCS, thinking it's a valid bug report, will spend time looking for a solution to a problem that doesn't actually exist in the first place, time that could have been used for fixing actual bugs. It has happened many times before, and this is why mods are not recommended for betas and why beta features don't support mods in this first iterations. SCS has said that mod support will come eventually, but right now, they want to make sure the multiplayer is actually working before introducing mods.

The thing is if you let SCS allow mods in MP now you can guarantee that you will run into other issues in which people will whinge about anyway when the issue can be avoided for the time being while they continue to develop the MP feature itself.

Don't get me wrong I would like to have mod support as well but you got to realise that they just brought this feature out and we are all well aware that SCS MP is still a W.I.P. Let them continue to work on it until it is in a good stable state that is satisfying to us before they allow mod support and then iron out any issues that may bring to MP itself.

Plus also as I mentioned in a earlier post on this thread how will they go about mod support anyway. With many people wanting to run multiple mods you combine them into one server even if it is 8 people surely you would expect performance issues especially with people that have lower end Pc's. Just be opening up another can of worms at this stage.

@The_Driver65 I know they are different situations but a mod is a mod is it not? Its not SCS vanilla content. Anything foreign to the game can cause issues. I am talking about in general...things needs updates regards. If SCS changes a part of the game, a mod can be incompatible no matter if its single player or MP. If SCS supports mods, its still the same mod that is in single player which can still cause issue with such a new feature in which SCS has not ironed out support for.

Lol. Unless SCS blogs it or streams it, nothing is official. Never go by an outside source if they are not SCS employees documenting the statement. Sure even SCS can talk about it on here in the forum but its not official with dates unless its part of SCS social media.
