I used to see no point in multiplayer as from experience I know trucker's life is a rather lonely one. But convoy and the ability to drive somewhere with a friend does have some weird kind of appeal in it.
So I can only say: "if you haven't tried it yet, just try, you may actually be surprised" And if you still don't like it, then no one forces you to continue.

Not really interested, at least until mods are in....glad to see it was added though as obviously some people want it. I tried it a few times and just got annoyed by the lack of any realistic sounds and the sessions I was in were dominated with people with verbal diarrhea on the CB

What's the point with trying convoy? I'll be in other part of map... it will be single player game....

I've done it in real life many times. You happen to get together with someone you know heading in the same direction and you can spend hours on the CB talking about everything under the sun. I just don't see that scenario in a virtual world.

It definitely isn't for everyone. I can understand it, but for me, it's a non-thing; this update's been a welcome but relatively minor one. Quick travel is a nice feature, and the first part of the CA reskin is lovely.

I have 2 profiles, one for convoy and another personal with modifications, the multiplayer has pleased me a lot, I have played with people from 5 other countries and I notice a trend of player profile, people between 30 and 50 years old, with good attitude, without rudeness, all drive with order and respecting the law. We made a trip from Hobbs NM to Bellingham WA. It lasted four hours (in real life) and while we were driving we told about our experiences with the trucks, it would be worthwhile to give it a try at least a couple of times and hopefully with trustworthy people or people from this forum who avoid making childish acts on the road; The advice I can give is to use Convoy with a new profile, as activating and deactivating mods is very tedious.

I don't mind about convoy. I really see no point in driving from A to B with other truckers. I don't wanna talk to / chat with other truckers. And I want to drive flexible and deviate from the suggested route if I want to and not forced to stick with the suggested route.

Now, what about SCS creates a server so that we have true multiplayer? There wouldn't be AI trucks anymore, only AI cars and AI busses. All trucks that are visible in the game would be driven by real gamers. By us. I don't know if there are enough players to fill the ATS / ETS2 world 24/7. But this is the only kind of multiplayer that I would love.

It is called TruckersMP a bit sad the experience is ruined by both players and moderators
