Re: ATS 1.41 Open Beta discussion
Steam cloud will backup each profile individually to the cloud.
Avoid running the same same profile with cloud enabled in 2 different versions of the game.
I.E. running profile X at 1.40 on your notebook and the same X profile on your desktop at 1.41 both with cloud enabled.

If you were using your steam profile to play ATS on your old computer, you are able to do the same on the new computer. You'll need to login to steam and go through all of steams authentication stuff and get the game downloaded and installed. And any music on the old PC transferred over through a type of Sneakerneting over. But outside of that, you should be just fine.Queentruckeruk wrote: ↑16 Jun 2021 00:12 i brought a new gaming DESKTOP will i be able use steam cloud or not to get my profile on my new pc thanks
Always keep the Greasy/Rubber side down and the shiny side up. Even if what is supposed to be shiny isn't shiny anymore. But still it's always better to stay on top of the wheels none the less!

A couple of very miner lighting issues.
1) Beacons no longer reflect back from scenery items at night.
2) In real trucks the cabin lights cast a faint orange tint onto the hood of truck.

The bigger they are, the harder they haul!

Before the new lighting system the reflection of the beacons was way too much; very unrealistic and annoying. That's why I don't use beacons anymore. But I haven't used them yet with the new lighting system. I hope the reflection will be minimal. Or even better: customizable; just like the bloom effect which also is customizable.

Check your settings. You might have it on the one that doesn't reflect back. I think there is 0,1,2. I have mine on 1 iirc and it does not reflect back into the environment but that was by choice. I think you need setting 2 to reflect back. I don't remember the command though. But I know it had the word beacon in it.
https://modding.scssoft.com/wiki/Docume ... e/Commands. I'm not sure if this list is still valid but you can try it.
My post are only thoughts and ideas. Don't assume it makes ATS.

I noticed that update 1.41 brings back a function that was probably deleted a long time ago and the developers did not inform about it, the function I am talking about is that it is possible to see trucks without trailers in Al traffic, it is a detail but it will liven up the game, I thank scs software that this function is back
