^I can agree with that. No point in updating I-80 Nevada until I-80 California is done. I doubt they work Wendover and West to San Francisco. But going San Francisco to Truckee makes that quality gap.

Anything and everything mentioned so far is fine with me plus having a navigation voice that knows the difference between a right and left turn.

I don't think there will be some California stuff with 1.42. The team is too small and their updates are going to take much longer. I hope to see maybe Directx12 and some AA improvements.

Every update that comes out without more California increases the chances that a new player won't go on to buy DLC's after seeing the base map. It is imperative for SCS to get out some bits of California with each update IMO. It's not about us, although we do benefit from it. It's about retaining new players and convincing them to spend more money on the game. I'd be pretty surprised if we got nothing in 1.42.

I'm definitely not getting hopes up for anything for 1.42 for California. I think there is a better chance of getting more from ProMods Canada than California. The rebuild team is definitely small and we only got a portion of reworked North. No CA-99 to
I-5 nor CA-20 to add density. I've set my sights on Texas's release being the next California update. I'd love to be wrong though.

I do agree that each update should bring something. Even if its just one road. I also agree that California is about encouraging dlc sales.

While I'm all about the base map rebuild, I'm hoping it hasn't come at the expense of adding some new roads to the newer DLCs like we've gotten in the past. I'd still really like to see US 24 from Colorado Springs to Limon, N/S connections in eastern NM, and yes, US 14 thru Cody.

@flight50 Yeah I'm not expecting a big update like we got in 1.41, but a smaller part at least should come each main update IMO. Even just US-101 from Ukiah to San Rafael would be welcome and a sign of forward progress.

@Onagerlinn Yeahhh I think the rebuild or at the least Texas is at the expense of new roads. SCS use to train new people by letting them give us a new road. I don't think they have the time to wait anymore for that or the people coming thru are talented enough to just get tossed on a team. I'm really hoping that once Texas releases, that frees up people. I'd rather stay at 2 maps a year and get the rebuild going faster along new roads, than to see 3 states released a year. There is plenty of time to go 3 states. Get the old stuff on par first, then join the paid teams. With 2 paid maps, ATS should be okay. They did it for 2019 and 2020. A couple years of rebuilds and all the maps will be on par with the newer content.

We need both California and Nevada mostly rebuilt to current standards and at least 50% of Arizona upgraded. Thennnnn I think that team should sweep thru all the states available and add some density with those most requested roads if valid. Don't just add anything. There's like 2-3 roads per state that can be added to fill out the West.

Since we have confirmed two new routes and two new cities in Iberia, I think it is very likely that Cody and US-14 (possibly US-287 from Laramie to Fort Collins) will be added in update 1.42 (maybe 1.43) as scs listens to the community , and Cody with US-14 are in high demand

Not so fast, the Iberian roads were made to train newbies. US-14 is not a newbie-friendly road IMO.

The precedent we are looking for is a Pyrenees road could be precedent for US-14, or vice versa. The new Iberian roads are more like precedent for US-85/US-16/WY-450.
