ATS 1.42 speculation thread
Re: ATS 1.42 speculation thread
My very non realistic list
1) Sharks to jump. Let's have those 10,000 hp engine mods have a purpose.
2) Ghost Ride ModeI mean, there's no way that can possibly go wrong..
3) Sound swap so the trucks sound like they are being propelled by natural gas.(farting)
Ok, now that I got that silliness out of the way...
Still want an improved AI, more flatbed/lowboy cargo options.

In a world full of swift drivers, I'm an O/O.
Re: ATS 1.42 speculation thread
Agreed. I think 1.42 is a maintenance update as well. Maybe a new feature or two. Map add on dlc's like tuning pack, another tire pack, updated cabin accessories. The best that can happen is beta for DX12 if its ready. Otherwise I think it comes for Spring or Summer of 2022.
Heck, I'm still waiting on that ATS licensed trailer to show its face. AI overhaul would be nice. Especially with MP now.

My post are only thoughts and ideas. Don't assume it makes ATS.

Well 1.41 didn’t include much else apart Convoy (which I’m not really interested) and photo mode, so it would be nice to have some new single player features.
Surely Wyoming support, but I hope for some new ownable trailer as well.

With the livestock trailer on the SCS software blog from yesterday, it could be possible for it to come as an ownable trailer
Take it with a grain of salt nothing is 100% sure
Re: ATS 1.42 speculation thread
The wouldn’t create a trailer like that for freight market alone. That’s twice the work for them. So it’s highly likely that it would make it to the cargo market.

Re: ATS 1.42 speculation thread
How is making it FM only twice the work? It's about a third of the work.

No, not twice the work, my bad. What I meant was that the trailer would be of current standards anyway. Bringing it to FM and CM at the same time would be grouping similar tasks together and would be a more productive option, than to implement at FM first, and at CM at a later point.

I think, livestock animals should be added in all types of job markets, for WoT-connected and normal profiles, specially Convoy mode, where virtual truckers expect to carry such animals, but limited to few mileages because of possible symptoms while transporting, such as stress and other ilnesses.
Re: ATS 1.42 speculation thread
Its only beneficial for the livestock trailer to be ownable if the intent is to have a variety of cargo. Cattle only.........no. Its no different than the frac tank and people would bore of it quickly. We need at least 3-4 cargo in order for it to be ownable imo. Cattle, pig/swine, hogs/boar, bison, sheep/lamb/goats, ostrich....no horses. Horses do not get transported in this type of livestock trailer. At least to my knowledge. The livestock trailer we now see, is for human consumption transport.

Re: ATS 1.42 speculation thread
The Frac tank is a different beast. There's no reason for that to be customisable due to it's nature.
But a cattle trailer, like any trailer, can be customised to meet the customer's needs. Even if it only holds one cargo. The frac tank essentially is the cargo.
Technically it would be no different to a hard sided box trailer or curtain in the game. The only difference with those is the text that tells you what the cargo is, exact same trailer though so I don't see it being that much of an issue. I would like different types of livestock though, purely for the realism.
