ATS 1.42 speculation thread
Re: ATS 1.42 speculation thread
Hmmmm. I guess I never knew other states had such bad roads. We have our fair share of bad roads. Everything isn't perfect. I just came back from a Kansas City trip last week and their roads aren't great. So I can see the logic.
My post are only thoughts and ideas. Don't assume it makes ATS.

Yes, probably.supersobes wrote: ↑30 Jul 2021 00:39 Most of the states with bad roads are in the east and upper Midwest, and it's mostly due to the weather conditions in those areas.

Michigan is fairly infamous for our terrible roads. I grew up in a town along I-96 that had a weigh station nearby and I could probably count on one had the amount of times I'd actually seen it open and trucks being weighed. Our current Governor ran on a platform of "Fix the d*mn roads" and stuff seems to be getting done, but nothing will really change too much given our harsh winters, hot summers, and lack of weight enforcement.

I recommend you to know the roads of Brazil. This video even looks like it's floating on a fluffy cloud.

Summer big chunks of road missing! Anyplace with cold winters like -10F below to 105F in summer will destroy pavement after one year. It's why high clearance trucks and SUV are more practical as roads are torn up .
